Anyway, they didn't manage to get anything out of me.

Then posted memo is legit. This memo ended the stupidity of some goverment people from imposing the commemo plate at the top of the LTO plate. A link from NY Humor Post showed a pic from our country on that issue. I believe it reached top brass in malacanan and ordered this memo.

Well that's according to a source.

Those in doubt, print a copy and give it to the apprehending officer specially the almighty yellow boys of the Autonomous Region of Moronic Makati (New ARMM)

Dont get me wrong, i love what Binay is doing to his city. But this is a classic case of "Mas matapang pa yung langaw sa ibabaw ng kalabaw kaysa kalabaw".

Print a Copy of the News Article about the New Guidelines on using Commemorative Plates, then ipakita niyo sa kanila. But in makati, they have their own rules & penalty in using comm. plates specially on Tilted Plates.

"Vanity plates and commemorative car plates issued by national government agencies and private groups are not honored in Makati."

Example, just on EDSA alone, you can commit half a dozen driving violations without even making an effort. Most of these would be "swerving", bus-lane (north-bound between Pasay Rd and Ayala Ave), etc. On Shaw blvd, there is a traffic trap consisting the left turn lanes, anyone not familiar would have a high probability of falling for it.

IMHO, how can you follow the traffic rules & regulations when it is not even clearly marked like intersection of Ortigas/EDSA where one of the bus lanes and drivers end up "violating" by "stepping" into the lane. Or the ever popular beating the yellow traffic light at the same intersection because the yellow light stays lit only for a second before changing to red.

2005 pa yung resolution na ito. Hindi na yata to effective o umiiral. Certain commemorative plates have been identified as exempted in Makati as well.

FYI, this LTO AO is still enforced. No superseding memo to-date.

    +1.

Absolutely no signs or warnings whatsoever. And it isn't down to common sense, it's down to you having to ACTUALLY KNOW what the rules & regulations are for that part of the road. Like on Shaw Blvd, if you're cruising on the left lane then suddenly it comes to a halt and traffic is whizzing past you on the right lane it means all traffic turns left, but where's the sign? then you attempt to get into the right lane to carry on going straight but you might get flagged for "swerving" stupid stupid...
