In another seemingly insensitive Instagram post, Kris Aquino complained of sunburn pain and then equated it to the perils of thousands of #APECtado commuters who endured walking home, getting stranded and wilting in traffic.

“Quits na tayo sa lahat ng nahirapan magcommute these past few days, patas ang mundo, patche patche lang naman ang balat ko,” reads a portion of her caption.

Yesterday, the Aquino sisters hosted the much-talked about luncheon with 10 first ladies of APEC attendees. The lunch event included a tour of Intramuros, where she said she got her sunburn. “Na sunburn ako ng bongga-nabilad in Intramuros at the peak of just before noon heat,” she wrote in her caption.

For the event, Kris wore a beautiful Tiffany blue modern Filipiniana designed by Michael Leyva and made in Antipolo, Rizal.

It was a quasi-backless dress with nothing but the embroidered white beaded lace applique covering Krissy’s back. No wonder the sunburn.

The ABS-CBN host was trying to stay positive and laugh through the pain, saying she now has a lace patterned sunburn.

But somehow, we find it difficult to laugh with her. Maybe that’s because our muscles haven’t recovered from having to walk home a few days ago. Because, you know, #APECtado.

How insensitive! As if getting stuck in traffic for 3-5 hours or walking 2-5 kilometres is as bad as getting sunburned. I don't even see the sunburn. The last time I had sunburn I had water blisters and it was painful even to put on clothes.
