Ok I bought a new Civic just recently and I have a registration for 3 years paid to the dealer good until 2010. I realize that its 3 years perhaps cause the car is under warranty for 3 years with the dealer (I am not sure if this is really the reason I am just speculating). Are these only for brand new cars or can we register our older cars 3 years at a time? I really thought it was convenient so we don't have to go back every year to register....

guess it's your prerogative coz have seen brand new cars with 1-yr registration only. not sure though to old cars with 3-yrs registration.

For brand new cars lang ang 3-yr registration. Para na rin hindi paulit ulit ang smoke emission test since sigurado naman pasado for the first 3-yrs ang isang brand new car. After that, yearly na ulit ang registration. Hindi pwede ang 3-yr registration sa mga old cars since need ng emission testing.

for only brand new vehicles lang 3 year registration. I think it was implemented last 2005 as part of the government revenue generation drive that year.

ung 3 years registration po ay para sa mga brand new cars na member ng CAMPI, un lang ang binibigyan ng 3 years registration ng LTO, otherwise kahit brand new car mo but hindi member ng CAMPI one year lang po
