1st LTO renewal after 3 yr registration

Mga fellow tsikoteers just wanted to ask how would I know kung kelan renewal ng car ko the unit was bough around 2016 and chineck ko yung date na nakalay sa or cr nakalagay is 02/03/2016 since 3 yrs ang registration po diba ng newly bought cars this 2019 ako need mag pa renew wala pa pong license plate yung sasakyan so I can't base po sa license plate. If ever po since 02/03/2016 yung nakalagay around that date din this year need po ba mag pa renew? Thanks in advance sa mag aanswer ng question

If you are planning not to pay the bank then don't use/register the car. The bank will just repo the car. LTO doesn't care for encumbrances except for transfer of ownership, registration, fines, hot-car alarms..

Actually sir the car is for repo na po talaga but my brother kept on insisting me to register the car. So bothered po ako baka hindi po iallow ng LTO na marenew ang registration? We are still thinking on how we can settle the loan.

Allowed yan for lto registration basta complete yung papers, or, cr, tpl and emission testing...

You can renew registration of the car but why bother when it is for repo anyway? Once you default the payment consider your money gone, its written on the fine print. Once nasa repo yard yan, matagal din naman naka tambak yan doon na hindi mareregister, bidding takes months if not years.

Plan ko sana i-renew na muna then yung release of chattel and removal of encumbrance is sa 2020 renewal na lang. Any advice?

you mean doc, they won't proceed with the renewal without the virtual plate? blank lang kasi nasa cr. need to go to LTO main branch pa just to get the virtual plate?

my experience is two years old. they might already have made "improvements".
madali naman sa LTO araneta ave. less than 15 minutes' waiting time. but parking is limited.
go there "at odd hours".

Nakuha ko na copy ng latest OR/CR from the bank, very efficient. Now with Plate No. showing as "130106", this is the virtual plate right?

Had a similar experience kay doc, Oct 2015 yung akin so nagrenew ako Sep 2018, pede naman kasi a month ahead.
Pinasok muna sa system nila yung virtual plate na binigay ko.
Other than the emissions test, pati yung CTPL hindi papasok sa LTO system.
Since andun nako dapat sa pagsubmit nalang ng docs at intay magbayad, nagkanda labo labo na kami sa steps, inintay ko muna maencode yung plates sa system, after nun tumawag ako sa insurance broker ko para sa CTPL para isubmit nila sa system ng LTO yung policy ko, at the same time sinabi ko rin sa emission to do the same. Once confirmed na ok si ctpl at emissions, submit docs at wait to pay na.

I did all of that sa sucat, sa olivarez plaza. Mga 30 minutes delay dinagdag sakin nung pagencode ng plates. Set ka appointment sa online portal nila para mas mabilis pagrenew mo.

Bale una dapat maipasok sa system nila yung plaka, kelangan istencil yung oto dahil dito. Then yung regular procedure steps of renewal na.

Mmm.. plate number po talaga yung format nun. So dapat ABC-1234 format, di lang numbers.

Makes me wonder if I'll get the ending number "I requested for..."...

Pwede naman mag renew sa ibang LTO branch diba? Field Office shows Makati, sa FTI Taguig plan ko mag renew. So the key is dapat maipasok muna sa system nila yung plate no. para less hassle.

Yung sakin, naisip ko sana tinry ko na pumili ng plate ending. Kasi nung binigay ko virtual plate ko sa kanila to be encoded, wala naman hiningi sakin na documentation, parang halos dinikta ko lang sa kanila. After nila encode, mabilis turn around time kasi pagkatext LTO plate ko, lumabas na agad vehicle details ko. Pero prior to them coding it in "no record found" lang nakukuha ko.

Naisip ko habang pauwi, sana pala nangapa ako ng gusto kong last number na wala pa sa system nila. Hehehe
