What happes to that adage...Customer is King! huh?

It seems TMPI is lording it over there and so untouchable!

yung customer is king is a new adage ......... it is still tempered by the age old economic theory of supply and demand.

i think toyota's dilemma right now is how much they can milk from this FORTUNate situation without ruinging their customer loyalty and image in the eyes of the public

imo, dapat di muna i-nintroduce ng toyota ang fortuner to other countries until they were able to satisfy yung demand sa thailand. tapos hindi sabay-sabay ang introduction sa mga asian countries. at least walang gigil sa part ng mga consumers.

And worst of all...he/she can't even use/drive the car for 10 months and yet the money was already shelled out in advance. It's like putting your money in a losing business! Maybe, it's better to put the money in the bank, at least kumita ng interest.

nugundam: thanks! sarap nga i drive, and mas matipid pa sya ng approximately 25% kesa sa fieldmaster(my previous ride), I can drive around 400-450 km(city driving) with my fieldmaster on a single full tank(70-78 liters). As of now nasa 450 km na ang reading ng trip meter ko and me natitira pang approximately 1/3 sa fuel tank(90 liter capacity).

bolantoy: pero isn't the fieldmaster with a 92 liter fuel tank?

ang ayaw ko lang talaga with the gen3 paj was the wood steering wheel...and wood in general, even with the gen 2.5 namin.

yung 2003 fieldmaster ko 85 liter fuel tank yata, I'm not sure. Ayaw ko din nga nung fake wood finish, mas maganda sana kung titanium finish sya.

    Thanks bro!

Hello! Since there is a clamour for this sort of thread i decided to start it..

Having enough of Toyota's scheming ways and not able to tolerate their evil ways, we recently decided to exact a sort of "revenge" on them.. we withdrew our reservation and got ourselves something better and in less than a week's time we brought home this instead....

What a coincidence! We bought the same car, same color, same everything, and because of the same reason... Toyota's manipulative wheeling and dealing of its customers who are waiting in line for a Fortuner. I got my XLT last month. And it was also a nice surprise when I decided to because when I walked into the showroom of Ford in Q. Ave, they said they had a new promo. So it only took me a couple of days to decide.

I have a few questions. Now that you've driven your Explorer for a few months, how's the fuel consumption holding up? I've driven mine for almost 600 kms already (95% city-driving), and I'm only getting 25 liters/100 kms (or 4 km/L). I think this is a little bit worse than what it's supposed to be, and I intend on having it checked sa casa when it reaches 1,000 kms. One suspicion is the idling, which might be too high.

Other than the fuel consumption, I love everything else about this truck. It isn't too big, but it looks quite muscular and intimidating (just like an Expedition). The size is just right to maneuver in most places that you would otherwise have difficulty with a full-sized SUV. And the seating is high enough that you feel like you're above most of the traffic, but not too high that you will have trouble keeping your focus on the road right in front of you. Great acceleration!

Congrats on your sweet ride! It's a keeper.

my dad consumed a full tank of gas by just going back & forth Manila-Hacienda Luisita. hehehe last Sat dawn, hinihiram nya yun L300FB ko,
gulat ako! sabi niya "ito na lang dadalhin ko sa meeting place namin (he &
his golfing buddies to Evercrest) para mapilitan sila dalhin car nila." hehehe

what else is there not to love? everything electronic from seats, instrument
panel messages to gas pedal (cruise control). very elegant interior finish.
if there is one thing I like about American cars it's the smooth & luxurious
    ride.

BTW, have u tried backing up without the seat belt on, it's like
you're inside the malfunctioning Apollo 13 spaceship. I swear I almost
panicked when hearing 2 distinct alarm signals (1 for seatbelt & 1 for
backup sensor) by just taking my dad's car out of the garage.

I drove without putting on the seatbelt and I was like "WTF?!" I thought an engine part or something was malfunctioning

The backup sensor is kinda anoying hehehe Good thing it can be disabled.with a button

Dont you think the side view mirrors are kinda small for such a big car? I have some blinspots when parking

    Hey jag,
congrats sa everest mo. when we inquired about the 4x2 everest, the agent(someone in ford alabang) immediately told me he could give me a tire cover for free together with the 3rd brake light since they did'nt come standard with the unit. There are shops in banawe like carry boy and ride inc which carry quality tire covers not sure thou if they have identical tire covers to the casa...
