The Altis is a better car overall than the Vios, much like the Civic over the City.

Mix some baking soda and "white" toothpaste, not the colored or gel ones. Wet the headlight then apply. Use a toothbrush to scrub or your fingers to rub. It took me 30 minutes for it to come off, although not 100%. Rinse with water. You can repeat again if necessary. Just put sealant on your headlight after the final scrubbing.

^This hack or the 1 below....

Once they've been touched, they'll never stay pre-defloration for long. Headlamp PPF can serve as chastity belt on virgins before they happen or right after the rubbing.[emoji4]

...but even if we can clean and polish the outer surface, there's still the inner surface...

The yellow I've seen is on the outer. A combo of fine scratches from nonOCD washes(I prefer to use different mitts/Mfiber cloths for the body & lenses) & UV oxidation. Both will accelerate grime & contaminant buildup. Solar & lamp heat are catalysts for baking the buildup to a good cure onto them plastic lenses.
I miss the good ol' glass-lenses. They never age.

Whats funny is that what you see is the factory headlight adjustment. They intentionally made it higher than normal to compensate for the very weak throw of the stock halogen bulbs.

Already adjusted the aim a few degrees lower since its using LEDs.

    parang masyadong mataas.
the low beam throw appears almost horizontal.
i lowered my innova's factory setting, as i found the low beam "too horizontal".
i also adjusted the left headlight to veer slightly to the right.

is it possible, your headlight housing is not designed for LED?
Its a projector housing and not reflector so it should be fine. I checked cutoff at 25 ft and it seemed ok

The stock beam height is too high right? Thats a weird thing with the new toyotas. Taas ng aim ng lights.

Have you tried cleaning/replacing the cabin filter first? Mahina na ba ang buga at wala ng lamig?

No observed issue so far. Just basing it on the 45k PMS. Cabin filter, I think kaya naman ng linis muna.

why are you thinking of having your aircon cleaned, po?

i remove and clean my (innova's) aircon filter myself.
gentle hand wash lang with tide or breeze.
i do it at one year intervals, or until it seems too distorted already.

it may seem easy, according to youtube.
but in truth, to the newcomer, it is not, at first try.
it would feel as if something may break, because it really needs some strong muscle to remove the glovebox.
but nothing will break. it just needs some practice.

after 12 years, i finally consented to have them open and clean my aircon, "because it's 12 years old already".
well, it was still very clean.
my advice is, don't have them "clean it" until the aircon don't seem to be cooling anymore, and replacing the filter and adding freon don't do the job anymore.

    good luck.
