    *tahxcool

just had mine yesterday at Toyota North Edsa. paid only 3.9k
changed oil (7 liters regular oil), changed oil filter, top up fluids (coolant, brake, power steering), brake cleaning and suspension bolts check/tightening.

had them take out the engine treatment and the fuel treatment which would've cost an additional 3k.

Thanks for the respect mate, this is what we do here. We modify things to improve our vehicle.

I wish i had a screenshot of what ive read. I think its from pradopoint. They have tested that egr opens during deceleration and gear shifts. This is why we see carbon soot(oil+heat) buildup inside the egr pipe.

    The EGR has 2 functions:
    1. induce OXYGEN DEPLETED gasses during idle-light cruise to cool the combustion chambers down this prolongs the vehicle's engine life and of course to keep emission guys happy.

    2. Acts as overboost pressure dump.

If you want to disable the 1st function, all you need to do is block the vacuum (i could post it if you wish to block it) source of the EGR (egr is vacuum actuated 1st function) by doing this you dont compromise the 2nd function.

I dont know why people keep buying these plates if you could block the vacuum source for just 50 cents for a piece of ball bearing. But be also aware that non intercooled has issues blocking the egr or the vacuum source as the intake temps are too high.. over heating the chambers throwing a cel. A fortuner owner in fcp had a cel due to blanking and was advised to removed. After removing, the cel was gone.

1kd-ftv has the most noticeable "blow/dump off" sound whenever i release the acc. Pedal. You could actually hear a "woo hoo hooo" sound.

Later I'll post which vacuum needs to be block.

Remove the blanking plate and reinstall the egr pipe back and block the yellow marked with a pellet or a piece of ball bearing. 3.0 or 2.5vnt only

Not recommended for non-intercool d4d. It throw a cel intake temp too high.

For non vnt d4d, the best you can do is install an oil catch can. Choose a catch can that has filter and baffling inside and with large inlet/outlet nipple.

You could google about how to modify an ebay/Generic catch can

assuming sir 2.5 d4d yung engine mo, lagay mo muna 6liters then check dipstick, start mo engine tapos drive mo until optimum operating temperature, tapos pahinga for 10 to 15mins, check dipstick tapos dagdag na lang kung ilan kulang.

from low mark ng dipstick, 1liter ang rule of thumb to fill upto the full mark. para ma-estimate mo ilan kulang.

hindi kasi every oil drain, nauubos yung nasa oil pan, kaya minsan 6.5 liters ang fill mo nung una, sa pangalawa naman ay 6.3liters.

there are two figures for oil volume..
the smaller figure is just the crankcase oil..
the larger figure is for the crankcase oil, plus the brand new oil filter that usually needs 1/2 liter or so..
