maganda yan. i think the lighter the weight of the vehicle between those 2 should have the edge.
unfair yang laban na yan. 3.0 na nga highly modified pa with uni chip fort vs stock montero na 2.5 lang. tsk tsk tsk....dapat stock vs stock. 2.5 non vgt montero vs 2.5 d4d fort and GLS SE or 2.5 GLS V montero vs 3.0 fort..yan medyo fair ang laban na yan. basta all stock lang.

TIA.
Hello Fortuner owners! im planning to buy 3.0 Fortuner 4x4, just want to ask to those current owners this model the ride comfort, 4x4 capabilities, good and bad feedbacks, maintenance and handling, TIA for all replies.
Try and backread. Treasure trove of info on proper break in procedures not mentioned in any owners manual. While the manual will not discuss elaborate protocol, some basics I've picked up over the years from automative enthusiasts and engineers at forums like this are:
1. Do not go in excess of the mentioned max speed during the first 500-1000km (example: don't go over 100km/hr);
2. Do not go over 1,500 rpm until engine temperature reaches optimal operating level, halfway between C and H on the temperature gauge;
3. Avoid jackrabbit starts and hard braking during mentioned first 1000 kms;
4. For manual trannies, follow the shifting protocol vs speed;
5. Do not stay in a single speed over prolonged periods; in short, vary driving speed.
These are the major steps I always undertake with every new vehicle I've had over the last two decades.
Good luck and enjoy your new ride!
