Gusto ko kasi yung matipid talaga sa gas. kaso mukang mabagal ata 2.5 and heard about d4d problems.

ang pinakamatipid sa tatlong variant ng fortuner ay ang 2.5 d4d. kaya lang tama ka may mangilan ngilang issues na lumalabas tungkol sa injection pump nito. safe bet would be the 2.7 vvti, if it's ok with you to consume 7-8 k/l on city/highway driving.

I read somewhere here na wala na daw queue ang fortuner 2.5 d4d sa Toyota shaw. you can literally purchase today and take home at the soonest possible time.

Given the rampant inconsistencies and uncertainties revolving around the D4-D engines (3.0V and 2.5G), I think the 2.7 VVTi will do even if its said to be a bit of a gas-guzzler and underpowered for a heavy Fortuner body. Before the D4-D incidents, the line on the 2.7 vvti is quite impossibly long but I think it will only get longer after the public hears about the stalling problems of the D4-D.

Any one out there familiar with Osram Silverstar replacement headlight bulbs? I've been thinking about installing HIDs for the past couple of weeks, but a lot of people are saying HIDs are not that effective, specially in bad weather. the Silverstars bolt right on with no modifications and cost only 550.00 each (a really small fraction of the cost). I checked the website and it says it will improve range by about 20%.
Looks like the lines for the 2.5l isn't that long anymore, an agent called me up this morning and asked if I knew of anyone interested with that version, no more waiting... as long as the would be owner avails of IHF, IHI, and 14k worth of accessories, any color. PM me if you want the agent's number.

The nerve! Ang kapal ng mga yan! They are already having slow sales (presumably due to the D4-D problems) and they still have the guts to dish out their infamous sales tactics. The customers are the ones doing them a favor already.

This is the perfect time na gumanti. Just spread the word na tumitirik ang Innova at Fortuner (via email para mas mabilis ang chismis). So people will avoid it like a bubonic plague. Makisama na rin sana yung mga owners with their testimonials, since wala nang mawawala sa inyo, you already have your units. Very slow sales and bad publicity will force Toyota to be more customer oriented and change its marketing and after-sales tactics. :praning:

accdg. to some posts in this forum, some fortuner owners who experienced the stalling problem are silently selling their units na. if this keeps up and reaches the pessimistic masses, mahihirapan maka-recover ang toyota models na yan. sayang maganda pa naman ...

the best thing to do siguro is to let Toyota address the problem and to let them stop selling the problematic models for the time being, para naman hindi mag-suffer yun mga bibili pa lang.

sales vultures talaga! they're counting on the ignorance of some fortuner wannabe owners ... grabe panloloko naman yan. they should issue a recall and freeze selling that particular model. kawawa naman yun mga bibili, grabe ang abala na aabutin nila pag nagkataon.

wow! no waiting period for the 2.5 variant? di ka nga maghihintay pero kakaba kaba ka naman kung ititirik ka. i think Toyota need a definite answer with regards to d4d concerns.
