Even if you have the relay installed, a 20A fuse needs to be installed. The new relay will bypass the existing relay set-up with 10A fuse. But, this will void your warranty for the battery as well, since this will require that you tap directly to the battery for power.

IMO, you don't need the additional relay. The stock horn set-up already has a relay. Just upgrade the fuse from 10A to 20A since the stock horns are rated at 2 x 4amps, while the Stebel Nautilus is rated at 18amps.

Sir Vic, had my stock horns replaced with Stebel TM80/2 Magnum. Kaya lang sabi nung nagkabit di na raw kailangan ng fuse upgrade. I had a look at the box and the horns are 6A x 2 kaya bitin nga talaga yung 10A na stock. Will have it replaced with 20A soon. Di pa naman nasusunog so far. Di na rin ako nagpakabit ng bagong relay.

The Speed traps are there for a reason. Safety....
Ingat lang mga peeps.... Hindi built for speed ang mga Fortuner natin. Not unless modified or upgraded ang engine, brakes at suspension. Even so, kung gusto nyo mag drive ng mabilis, always think of Safety (for your self and other motorists)...

Safe and happy driving to all...

mitsuba tradhorn (japan) nilagay ko. mejo pricey for a set of horn pero ibang iba talaga. tamang tama sa fortuner. lalo na when i'm in edsa. pati bus tumatabi sa lakas.

i did the mod that bilog did too. i used the stock horn to make it a pair for the alarm siren.

btw, i drove my 3.0V up to baguio. man oh man! this thing can kick a$$. napakatulin. hindi ka mabibitin. i felt lotsa power. i didnt need to floor the pedal to get the desired power.
and when i reached kennon, there was no need to engage to 4x4. kayang kaya! but when the rain fell, nag 4x4 nako to be sure na better road grip.

wishlist for my 3.0 this xmas:
    >intercooler emblem
    >oem turbo timer
    >ipod cable and interface

di ba full time 4x4 na ang 3.0 variant? so 4h and 4l lang ang option mo?

fortuner problems crossing over to 3.0 variants! wow... if this continues and toyota don't do something about it it may well blow out of proportion. So much for the reliability of Toyota. Good bye resale value.
