Lahat ng ito ay nasa owner's manual mo. :D

'D' is what you use for all driving situations except exceptional instances detailed in your owner's manual wherein you need to use the other forward gears.

3 is only up to third gear, 2 is up to 2nd, 1st is 1st gear only.

You use them when you need to hold a gear (when you do not want the vehicle to upshift or downshift). E.g. when towing, climbing steep terrain, or descending steep terrain.

In nature, obstacles like that are called 'moguls' or 'off camber' obstacles. The test simulates that specific type of off-road obstacle.

It aims to demostrate the suspension articulation (travel) and traction capabilities of the vehicle (ability to keep moving with one or more wheels off the ground).

In the U.S., there is also a test called the RAMP TRAVEL INDEX (RTI) to measure a 4x4's capability.

Iam currently base in Qatar, I own a Toyota Fortuner 4.0 V6 model 2007. It is indeed a nice car (relatively) with the power, speed, cruise control etc.
My comments are: (remedies/suggestions most welcome)
1-When in rough roads the break pedal vibrates excessively, thereby emitting annoying sounds.
2-My car is only 7 months but in my driver's window, when also in rough roads a sound like a rubber rubbing together.

This flaws really annoyed me much.

Thank you in advance.

As I promised in another thread, on the day my unit arrives, I would start this new thread... And, finally that day has come!

This thread is for owners to be able to share observations on their units, as their usage progresses. It is hoped that other owners, as well as prospective owners, will be educated in the intricacies of using and maintaining their new baby.

Over 400 units have already been released since the May 9, 2005 launch. Yet, to date, here is the current list of Tsikoteers who've got their Fortuners:

1. summer75 - 2.7G, Silver Metallic
2. Monseratto - 3.0V, Silver Metallic
3. andre - 2.7G, Silver Metallic
4. vicoyski - 3.0V, Silver Metallic

Puro Silver Metallic, ah!

Other owners may feel free to add their names to the list...

Best of regards!

P.S. Special recognition is given to Innova_boy who was an inspiration for the creation of this new thread...
