hello!

i saw a stainless steel billet grille for fortuner this afternoon. meron na ba nagpa install sa inyo? how much po? yung horizontal yung design ng grille tapos its just a bolt-on. sobrang mahal dito sa gensan, 10k tapos d pa kasali yung sa ibaba na front grille.

Nobody's selling a full billet grille, as of yet. I'll be on the look-out, though...

I think Miggyboy has this kind of billet grille. I'm just not sure kung 2 or 4 pieces cya.

Yup... JunDC is right. Miggyboy does have the billet grille inserts. They brought in a limited number though, so you'll have to order them if they've already run-out. When I went to BASC in Cubao last February, I also saw the very same billet grille inserts. Pag wala na kay Miggyboy, you can try them. But, if you ask me, ok kumuha kay Miggyboy...

Thanks a lot for the advise Shockz. Mentioned this to the wife but she hesitated and pointed-out that the issue is not compliance to regulations but more on being stopped by would be carjackers pretending to be "the police".

Ok lang yan, malapit na naman yata lumabas ang plates nyo eh. Follow up mo lagi sa SA nyo. Anyway, new plates or none, hindi rin mapipigilan ang carjacking. Wala tayo laban dyan. Lets just hope and pray na hindi tayo matapatan. Happy driving, este... happy himas....

i suggest v-cool (greenish clear) around 17,400 for the fortuner. if not try mo 3m fx

If you feel that V-Kool is too expensive, the next best thing is SolarGard. They have nearly the same amount of UV protection at a fraction of the cost. It's better than 3M.

You can call SolarGard/V-Kool at 725-5570, look for Leslie. If you bring your unit to their shop, they can have sample sheets stuck to your window, so you can compare which shades you like best.

Yup! The shop I mentioned only does tints. You drive your ride inside an airconditioned room, para minimal dust contamination. That's where they do the tinting. You have to call them in advance, 'coz by appointment ang tinting. Dami pumipila, lalo't magsa-summer.

Compare mo lang UV deflection of SolarGard and V-Kool when you get there. I think they are made by the same company eh. For a Fortuner, SolarGard will prolly cost around P5T-6T for a full tint (including front windshield). Pag V-Kool, around P16T-P18T. You can buy an iPod Nano with that price difference...

peeps, ok lang ba pag minsan i shift from D to 3 when overtaking on a level highway? i admit naging habit ko na while driving along Slex, lalo na pag mabagal yung nasa harap ko. i usually do it below 3000 rpm. sobrang lakas kasi ng hatak pag naka 3 position. also, how long can i be in the 3 mode? as long as hindi ba umaabot sa red line ng tachometer? thanks.
