Got my altis 1.6E weeks ago, and I've been experiencing these problems:

1. Parang sinisinok ang engine at 1850-1950 rpm at mahina ang response. but when I go 2000k rpm up, ok naman na.

2. Pangit ang tunog ng confirmation ng alarm, mayron na ba nakapagpalit nito?

3. Mayron na kaunti na kalampag at front right suspension. Saw some threads on defective suspension with toyota cars before. Ganun pa rin ba ang mga kinakabit sa bago na altis "defective na suspension" then recall kung magkaproblema? Gaano katagal bago dapat lumabas ang mga problems ng suspension for a new car?

Ung altis ko 2003 model (60tkms) wala namang kalampag, considering that the previous owner was a "drive and forget" cousin of mine. The altis of my brother, bought from a friend whose into buy and sell business however has suspension problems up front (23tkms)

2nd hand mo ba nakuha? The "kalampags" will actually depend on how the previous owner used...(and abused) the car.

Pa-check mo nalang sa mechanic and see what needs to be replaced.

as for the alarm, hindi naman pangit, kundi mahina. Nakalagay kasi sa trunk ang siren.

Got my altis brand new. 400kms pa lang ang natatakbo. Yung "chirper" or alarm feedback horn under sa hood, near the dash, driver side. Parang busina ng lumang motorsiklo ang tunog pag engage na ang security. Toyota standard alarm sir ang nakakabit.

Mas ok pa nga ang "chirper" ng revo 2001 namin na standard din ng toyota.

Yung kalampag, medyo mahina lang, pero notice ko agad kasi supposed to be worry free pag bago. At pansinin kasi pag you started driving without any noise, then magkakaroon.

Yep, thats what I am going to do, but I think I will have to wait til 1k pms. Ayoko kasi dalhin muna, baka mayroon pa iba problema para minsanan na lang.

di kaya related sa gasoline ito? what gas lagay nyo? before lagay ko XCS then nung pinalitan nila now (w/ organic cleaner..) nag toto-pe yun car ko kaya nag Blaze ako ok na ulit. hope this helps.

di kaya related sa gasoline ito? what gas lagay nyo? before lagay ko XCS then nung pinalitan nila now (w/ organic cleaner..) nag toto-pe yun car ko kaya nag Blaze ako ok na ulit. hope this helps.

Thanks J97. Ubusin ko muna siguro ang gas ko, 1/4 pa kasi, travelled 400kms. Travelled 150kms highway, rest city driving, ok ba ang consumption nya?

Baka may nahugot na hose, ganyan dati sa akin sa may Canister may natanggal na hose.

pangit nga talaga tunog ng alarm ng altis ngayon. nag inquire ako last time kung pwede palitan yung busina (horn) ng alarm katulad ng common alarm horn. kaso hindi raw pwede palitan yung horn lang. kaya ginawa ko naka disable nalang yung confirmation ng alarm. so, mag aalarm nalang sya incase may force entry sa sasakyan. nga pala got our new altis last mar 31, '07. ngayon nasa 3000+kms na takbo nya.

I finally got the warning light for gas on at 1/6 tank capacity. Loaded her will blaze, I hope this will fix that sinok with a 96+ octane rating.

Or is it really normal for altis to behave like this? I usually rev her up for at least 1200k rpm before realeasing the clutch pedal. Pag di kasi tope makina, or di kaya patay ang engine.

Salamat sa response, siguro try ko luwagan na lang yung busina para "buzz" na lang ang tunog or try ko mag pa integrate ng aftermarket na alarm. Any mods done with your altis? Any problems encountered?

Hard to explain. Anyway just try to find a hose na mukhang natanggal lang.

Usually in the air intake area.
