1. Riding comfort
2. Durability
3. Fuel Consumption
4. Maintenance
5. Performance sa mga long trips
6. Appearance/Looks

May 5th, 2011 12:49 AM #2Okay before dumating ang Fiesta/Accent FBs dito
Congrats! first since you made a good choice;
The Vios has been in the Philippine market for 8 years now and it has proven it worth quite well.
Ride Comfort is Good passengers won't complain
Durability lots of Vios Taxis running around with 100K ODO mileage
Fuel Consumption 1.3L 2NZFE gives around 21 km/L (15-18 km/L realistically)
Maintenance Cheap as they go, just don't get ripped off by Evil Service Advisors
Performance it could reach 200KPH

with the Manual
Appearance/looks either way it looks USDM and JDM so you can easily make it look better with Cosmetic Modz

Vios owner here and no regrets at all. As I plan to upgrade to a compact car next yr, di ko parin bibitawan vios ko. Absolutely no complaints abt the vios.
Ride quality is ok. It is a subcompact but it rides well and is roomy
Durabilitywise, my car is more then 2 yrs old and no problem at all.
Fuel consumption- very economical. 11-13 ltrs/km city driving
Maintenance - proper pms lang siguradong di sasakit ulo mo
Long trips - it is a subcompact but comfortable naman. Of course not the same level as an altis or civic.
Appearance - it may not be the best looking car right now but it doesnt look outdated.
For ur budget the vios I think is the best bang for the buck subcompact right now. Dont mind all those taxi comments abt it. The fact that its being used as taxis means na the car is hassle free.

5. ok naman, can catch up if your in a hurry
6. i dont like it that much. but for the 600k price... who cares.
in conclusion, i think is a good first car choice.

It's a very basic car. Can get you from point A to point B with no problems.

May 5th, 2011 06:05 AM #8Agree. My wife and I recently joined tsikot forums to get feedback on buying our first SUV. And somehow after reading most threads, medjo dominated nga ng Hyundai forumers. At times, I like their passion kasi ganun din ako dati during the 90s. Lalo na when the Civics came out. So iniintindi ko na lang. Pero, okay na nga ba ang mga Hyundai? or its yet to be tested? I bought a Fortuner last december and I really enjoy driving it. This time I was planning to get a Vios pero dahil sa maganda din ang itsura ng Accent, parang yun na ang 1st option ko. Just recently though, I read the Engine Knock thread ng Accent and I know the Vios will not have that. Dami kayang medrep at taxi na Vios. So, in your honest non-fanboy opinion, would an Accent or a Hyundai car be as reliable and a durable as a Toyota/Vios?

May 5th, 2011 06:41 AM #9I drive a vios! Yup its a good car!
Try riding a vios taxi so you can experience the ride. Its actually comfortable, considering most of the taxi drivers nakakahilo magdrive.
2. Durability: Sa pag-maintain and pagalaga na yun ng car. The vios I drive is 4 years old already, its still good as new.
3. Fuel Consumption: magmanual ka para matipid
4. maintenance: Im a girl so I don't really know much, but I go to good year servitek every once in a while to have my cars checked.
5. performance at long drives: Torque is good. sarap idrive sa long drive
6. appearance: I honestly would go for a camry or an altis, but its too expensive and the gas consumption is high. I heard the new model of the vios is good

Vios is a common entry car, but a bit better than a box with 4 wheels. so I'd say, go for it!
IIRC they're with AVID. The reported numbers in the TG article are from CAMPI.
