vios fuel gauge problem help.

Hello mga Sir, just want to ask about a weird behavior of my fuel gauge, I'm still new with vios dati po kasi 1995 corolla GLI ang gamit ko, by the way po 2006 E variant po yung nabili ko, napansin ko lang po biglang nag bblink ng empty gas ung gauge ko when I start the engine then after running for awhile, maybe 2-3kms po babalik na sya sa tamang reading nya, it started po nung 2 bars left nalang yung gas ko but not when I still have 5 bars on my gauge, is this a serious problem po mga sir? or maybe there is something that I can check first?
