    in my honest opinion

try to get other hatchbacks like the fiesta. or the jazz, or the accent hatchback

the monthly always depends on which bank you loan it from, and how much your downpayment is, and how long your payment will be.

My friends who have one are very happy with it for their around-town use but once they start loading up things, its quite a problem due to the limited trunk space (unless they drop down the rear seat).

Gripe: the new ones are out in other markets while TMPI seems bent on keeping the old model here for another year or two.

    speaking as an agent:

go to the car dealership, get a pricelist. dont leave your name or your number to the sales agents for now, just get theirs.

now, go to a bank or your choice. show the prices to the bank. and ask for a computation of your preferred monthly amortization and downpayment.

once okay na and sure ka na na bibili, contact the car agent sa casa. ask for a discount. sabihin mo kukuha ka na, etc etc basta ask for the best deal possible.

if nagbigay ng discount, pa recompute ka sa bank. for sure bababa monthly mo or downpayment mo. Try also to haggle the interest rates per annum sa bank. If you arrive at agreeable terms, sign up for an auto loan, give the necessary requirements and wait for the bank to contact you (around 1 week) if approved or declined ang auto loan mo.

ask the bank how to proceed if approved.

btw i suggest BPI, good interest rates.

:D Well same engine lang naman and most of the components are the same, even the tranny and suspension are the same though twineak daw nila. Why not try second hand na Yaris? Malaki ang matitipid mo compared to a brand new.

Other than that ok na ok. 2008 model yun amin pero parang brand new pa din ang condition. Walang maingay or any hassles.

And tama sila, shop around for the best rate both sa banks and sa dealers.

If the discount is sizeable, i still find it okay. This was the case when i got my 9th gen Altis back in 2007 where the discount allowed us to get it at nearly the price of a Vios 1.3e.

    * rates, get the best by inquiring with the banks and with the dealers alike.

that's because of the wide and strong competition. Deals are from 0% interest to 8-10 years warranty, free 1 set of winter tires w/ steel rims (depending on time when you buy) etc...

    sana tulad din sa Pinas.

still, Yaris is a good buy... and yeah, December is a good month to get one, especially if they're running after their sales target.
