Is this true? Can anyone confirm this? I've heard from a friend that a SA in Toyota Balintawak advised them that Toyota will halt production of Fortuners for the meantime. Resumption will be December of this year.

I'm having thoughts that they're just pressuring my friend to get the white Fortuner, which is already available in the CASA, instead of them waiting for the black one, which is still yet to be shipped. Smells like pressure for sales quota for me.

I don't think Toyota will be that stupid. I mean, come on! The Fortuner is one of its best-selling and most popular products; doing so would be like suicide! Despite the popularity of the Montero Sport, Fortuners still sell like hotcakes. I guess the CASA is just pressured to achieve their sales quota. (Although IMO, the white looks better . Hehehe).

Malabo i-stop ng Toyota ang production (unless mag strike na naman mga tga Thailand).

Niloloko lang ng SA yung friend mo. If I were him/her, I'd rather get from another dealer or brand (Mitsu). hehehe.

unless they're prepping up for the 2010 Fort MMC, they won't. India should be getting their facelifted Fort next month; hope they bring it to our shores Q4 of this year.

there's no reason for them to stop producing the Fort na, as mentioned, one of their best-sellers. more likely SA B.S. yan...

ganyan ren sabi sa kin dati nung SA ng mitsu when they're trying to convince me to get the 07 Lancer body since namamahalan ako sa EX last year. "sir, tapos na production ng mga Lancer old body.. kung ako sa inyo, i-rereserve ko na tong unit na to, else EX na lang talaga makukuha mo... " Awa ni batman, upto now may old body Lancer.. sorry kung OT..

please correct me if i'm wrong... but i think the current facelifted edition of the Fortuner is actually coming from Indonesia!

a facelift for 2010 is very much premature and out-of-the-pattern considering that Toyota tweaked the Fortuner last year since its debut in 2005. Of course, we can't wait to hear Toyota explained.

    baka magkatotoo this time...
since the launch of mid-cycle model of fortuner, all new units are now coming from indonesia...and just this afternoon (4pm) our time, jakarta and surrounding areas were struck with an earthquake. but God forbids naman any casualties.

Toyota will stop producing Forts, resume in December
