Toyota townace noah, any idea?

ask lang ako mga bro ng advise about this toyota townace noah (super extra, 2.2l engine, turbo diesel, 8 seater). kasi may binebenta sa subic, eh kailangan lang ng sasakyan sa bahay, ok ba'to. salamat....

ok naman..alam ko matic ay column shifter, manual floor...may walk-through configuration...pero ang prob lang kaya i opted for a 1991(jdm)/1998(phdm) liteace with 2c-turbo is because of readily available parts(kahit a/t maeron na because of the fx owners changing engine).

aside sa body parts nito might be scarce, also the interior and some under the chasis and hood parts are a tough to find..

just find a good conversion to be safe, basta buo ang rack, no dugtong, ok yan..

i like the van..powerful enough and slightly economical ang 3-c turbo nito,walk-through layout..the downside pa nga pala, itis available in either FWD or full-time AWD..which makes me somewhat sour on this one..

there are 4-door models but they are mostly baseline models...

may auction sa malinta alam ko tommorow start ng inspection...meron dun 4-door na highace na super custom(middle grade) with 3 sunroof...tignan ko nga kung ano pa laman or how is the unit..although auction yun, they offer negotiated sale kung may type ka, pero at a slightly higher sa starting bid price nila...di ko lang sure kung kasama na ayos ng papeles at check-up bago ilabas ang unit..

alwayz yummy, 3-c turbo daw ung engine, 2 sunroof ( 1manual &1 auto) makinis ung sasakyan may curtain pa sa loob, yun mga lang rhd pero coconvert daw nila sa lhd sila na raw bahala sa lahatng gastos pati pagtratransfer ng ownership bibigay daw nila sa 450k php, wat do u think?

I think mahal na ang 450K... hay... balak kasi mag palit ang papa ko ng Noah. our Town Ace 3CT 5door kasi is getting big consumption after a recent Injection Service. nakaka-buwesit. ang tipid kasi nito noon, pinalinis lang namin kasi medyo mausok, ngayon, hindi na mausok peru uhaw na sa diesel at shift slide sya sa 1-2 gear. +mali-mali pa ang pag-sauli nila sa vacuum hoses.

I think 3CTE ang Noah diba? so parehas lang sa Emina, myroon din kasi silang Engines sa Auction... peru mahirap sa spare parts like lights etc,

yup, medyo mahal nga yan...kung ganyang price, i'll rather get a spacegear 4wd. kung di pa nacoconvert, maganda yan...kasi kung may time ka, masusubay-bayan mo conversion nyan..

for sure, tagpi-tagpi dash nyan...additional cost ung orig. LHD dash..nga pala, malamang 3-cte yan.airbag, ewan kung may abs yan...

so sa conversion dag-dag yan sa titignan mo kung meron: abs, airbags...make sure that they are all hooked up and positioned right...kung di baka ikamatay mo pa yang airbag na yan...98% dapat lahat ng electricals, kahit mga sensors dapat nakaconnect lahat...kung di magkakaprob ka na akala mo napakalaki, un pala loose connection lang sa sensor.

another concern, and important ngayon sa rehistro is the wiper position...not so important, pero maganda kung mai-lilipat din ang power window switches and the a/t column shifter..

awd? may hot/cold box w/ ice maker?TEMS?power curtain? may badge bang: "royal lounge"? pag meron ng mga yan, baka pwede na sa 450K..top-of-the-line yan.

hmm... hirap ata e-test yung airbags ah... you can already get 450K for a Subic Pajero.

nice, may Intercooler pala. not so surprised though, 3CTE kasi. I hope maraming 5 door model release nyan, kasi lagi ko nakikita yung 5 door sa Pics ng mga Noah...

we asked someone from malinta and they said they only have 1 Noah Available right now and only 1 Hi-Ace with 5 Door model...

Hi I'm new here at medyo hirap ako mamili ng sasakyan. Hope you guys can help me. Budget the company gave me is PhP 350,000 only so pang-second hand lang talaga.

I want something na medyo spacious, ayaw ko ng sedan masikip.

So when I was doing my search, I liked the ff models I saw:

1) KIA CARNIVAL
2) STAREX
2) SPACE GEAR
3) TOYOTA NOAH

I found a Noah I really liked but here's the comment I got from my Bosses's brother in-law:

For me, not a very wise buy... reasons:

1. Noah is not a local production van in the the Philippines. Parts will be hard to find and expensive. I don't think seller can provide the parts needed, you will be at his mercy. Worse, you will wait for the parts most of the time (one will definitely not keep spares for just very few units)

2. 350K is too expensive for this kind of model.

3. Most buy and sell companies will claim they have original conversion kit - how to check? Moreover they will promise anything just to sell.

4. Best is a local 2nd hand car/van from a private owner. Local Kia Carnival would be a better choice than Noah. Key here is you should know how to identify a good unit.

5. If you want to buy a subic vehicle (converted), it should have at least a local counterpart (pajero, delica)... most likely parts will be avaialble.

Then he also said earlier that Kia Carnival does not have a good name coz Kia nga raw.

With all the feedbacks I have been getting, now I am confused.

What can I buy with the P350,000 which doesn't need any serious fixing bearing in mind that I want something a bit spacious?

By the way, the company selling me the Noah is RBS TASCOR, which has a display center along Aguinaldo Hi-way, Imus, Cavite. Infront of Robinson;s Place, Imus.

Please help me...

either spacegear-->same as any delica 95% available ang parts nito./

liteace just like mine(click sig)-->kaya ko nga ito pinili over sa noah(kahit mas type ko ung noah/

delica-->had mine for 5 years, and i can atest na 95% of it is available locally, kaya madami/

pajero-->maslalo na ito. kaya nga dami dumating/

hiace-->except ung 1-kz model(3.0TD-efi), madali lang piyeas nito./

odyssey -->may local nyan, noong 1996 nga lang, di na nasundan, gas nga lang,e.../

carnival-->ung crdi gray unit, pero ok na din ung local na diesel, pero dami usok issues,e.../

urvan(homy/caravan)-->shorter ito sa local natin, pero makina is td27-turbo..parts no prob naman, may 4 sale na top-of-the-line(full-option) na urvan homy dito sa tsikot classifieds, 220 lang.contackin mo nalang ung owners./

vanette(largo)-diesel, avail ang parts, pero mahal un-regular parts (buong a/t, 4wd, etc), other wise parang toyota lang din yan...ung ang downside ng nissan nga pala./

serena-->cd20 is avail pala (ad-resort-closed van type), pero body parts sa banawe na siguro.

ung other models like elgrand/granvia/reguilus/noah/toyota nadia-->meron dito sa amin sa proj. 6! d4-d pa nga,e../spacewagon(grandis)-->ung before ng model ngayon-->gas lang, and gdi engines,e..although somewhat like siya sa galant...

I think rehas lang engine subic Estima/Emina 3C-Te sa Noah.

you can get the whole 3C-Te Engine in subic for 10k.

IMO, I'm confident over the availability of the mechanical parts sa noah, peru hirap pa yung lights at ibang accesories...

Imo, 350k is still decent, but I would suggest if you can get a decent Starex for 350k, then go for it instead.

Maraming salamat po sa mga feedback nyo, specially Boss Always Yummy and Boss Rion.

The information I got here has given me better insight. Now, I am thinking of buying a Starex.

Meantime, if anyone here would know where I can buy a decent Starex, please advise baka meron po kayo alam. Just e-mail me info and I will take it from there. I need to have a new transport within 2 weeks.
