September 11th, 2003 10:45 AM #1has anyone tried toyota's Thunder services? does it offer a complete line of parts and services? why would anyone still use the regular toyota service if thunder which is cheaper is available? thanks for the inputs!

The Toyota Thunder service is being offered at their respective dealerships, i.e. Toyota Pasong Tamo, Bel Air, etc. It's for out-of-warranty Toyota vehicles like the previous generation Corollas and Coronas.
Basically, its still Toyota which provides the service. Only thing is, the parts are cheaper since they are not Toyota OEM parts. Rather they are made to the specifications of Toyota vehicles so that the owner of the car is reasonably assured of its quality.

My car is a 98 Gen 1 RAV. I noticed white smoke sa exhaust ko so I brought it to Thunder QA. I arrived mga 8am. Kaka open pa lang ata nila. Yung parang receptionist was reading the newspaper nung dumating ako. I had to call his attention pa samantalang nasa tabi lang siya ng door. Upon calling his attention sabi ko I would like to have my car checked. "Hi. Good morning, I would like to have my car checked. It is a Gen 1 RAV 4. I noticed it is emitting white smoke kasi eh."
Oploks. Obviously he didnt want to be disturbed reading his newspaper.

So kailangan pang i-back-job.

September 16th, 2003 08:34 AM #9Hello bros, just joined today and so far I have been learning a lot about car stuff! thanks guys for your helpful infos and ideas, I really enjoy visiting your site(it was very nice!), anyway just want to vent out my disappointment on toyota thunder service (specifically in balintawak) I have a 2003 altis and have it serviced twice at toyota balintawak, to be honest I was dissatisfied with their service, first of all the receptionists are not that accommodating, car service are quite questionable(quantity over quality?), and to top it all, my car cover was missing after I left that casa (just noticed it after a couple of days,) Kaya sana iwasan nyo tong casang to as much as possible!
