SA told me the 12th gen is estimated to come out end of this year. I guess the first batch will be out Jan 2020.

That's exactly 6 yrs after the Gen 11. Parang ang bilis ata nag change ng model. Anyway, even my SA said to wait it out LOL.

Wish they’d bring the hatchback version with the 2.0 manual.

A 2.0L MT compact car? Nope, it’s not going to happen with Toyota. I doubt the current Altis 2.0V AT sells that much compared to the Mazda3 2.0L.

If you want a 2.0L MT car in a compact platform, it’s a choice between a WRX MT for 2M or the Civic Type R for 3M.

Exactly. Dati may mga TOTL manual pero wala namang bumibili. Hanggang internet comments lang yung clamor for manual cars. Only base model manuals for fleet use sell well.

First Drive Review of the 2020 Corolla from Motortrend. I bet the PH version might still be powered by the old 1.6L NA engine.

Some of the features that come as standard with the TOTL 2020 corolla in the US
    -heated seats
    -radar guided cruise control
    -lane keep assist
    -pedestrian detection
    -auto emergency braking

This is also the list that TMP will unfortunately remove from the local version
But who knows, TMP is leaning towards safety. They're marketing the new Vios' 7 airbags as it's main selling point, let's hope the 12th gen will get a few of those safety features the US market will get. Although the new Rav4 says otherwise.

Still, this just made choosing between Civic and Corolla a bit more difficult, for me atleast.

Mag Honda City nalang?
