Mga bros and senbais here, ako naman ang nagkaproblema ngayon! I've been experiencing hard starting with the Revo lately. It only happens in the morning yung tipong cold start talaga. Ngayon lang ito nangyari, never experienced it before. Napakatagal umuubo bago sumindi. Any advice? 2001 GLX diesel yung amin. TIA!

As in exactly cold start lang in the morning lang nangyayari ang hard starting? pag naka warm up na ok na siya? check the heater plug baka may hindi na gumagana dun sa 4, posible lang maging voltage regulator ang cause ng hard starting kapag kahit na bagong andar ang engine at good condition ang battery hirap magstart

Hello again guys! I'm now paying attention to a rattling sound na naririnig ko when the engine is at idle. After much observation I found out it came from the accelerator. Its a rattling sound that appears when my foot is off of the accelerator and the car is at standstill. If I put my foot on the accelerator (yung nakapatong lang), the sound goes away. Is there anyone else here who has experienced this?

Also, what is your preferred fuel? Our Revo seems to prefer Caltex Diesel, which gives slightly better performance than Shell V-Power Diesel. FC is at around 8km/L pure city driving.

Hindi eh. Its the accelerator pedal mismo which is producing the rattling noise. And then the interior fittings are rattling too. Hindi pa ako nakakasubok ng Flying V since walang malapit sa amin, if you find it to be good I'll try to pass by one sometime.

    Happy New Year to All.

I spent my 5days forced leave just last week. I went to a mechanic for coolant change, checked/cleaned the breaks, change/repack bearing, engine wash, change differential and transmission oil, change oil and gasket.

Kaya lang, pag change ng break fluid which includes hanggang sa break linings na ginamitan ng vacuum, biglang may tumutunog sa rear whenever i step on the breaks. The mechanic bled the breaks twice same pa rin may tumutunog sa rear and mag slide ng almost an inch ang break. He advised me to let Toyota check it dahil nasa proportioning valve daw problem. I went to another mechanic without saying of the problem, pina bleeding ko lang ulit. biglang tumunog and naririnig nila na ang LSPV ang umiingay. I then went to a third mechanic, same pa rin but they tried to check baka ang pads sa rear left wheel ang umiingay but LSPV pa din ang findings nila.

Hello again guys! Just wanna report that the time has come for me to change tires. So I replaced all of them with bigger 205/70/R14 GT Radial Classiro's for 3230 petot each. Napaka noticeable ang improvements. The ride height was noticeably higher, ride quality and most importantly handling has been improved as body roll in corners has been greatly reduced.

    Mga sir,

Tanong ko lang. We have a revo 2003 Gas Manual Transmission. 2.0L engine sya.

Kahit nasa 120kmh man lang sana. Thanks!!!

Is this the first time you have brought your Revo out of town? I've seen lots of them do that in various highways. 80-100km/h at 3000rpm is pretty normal naman ah. Maximum power for the 1RZ engine is 105hp*4800rpm if I remember right so malaki pa ang maaaring itaas mo. Speeds of 160-170km/h shouldn't be a problem. Yung diesel na Revo namin umaabot rin naman ng 80-100 at the vicinity of 3000rpm at kayang kaya pa yun umakyat ng 140 and above despite its maximum power being reached at 4000rpm. Considering the nature of our vehicles na old school engines ang ginagamit at hindi talaga pangmabilis, it is pretty normal na medyo hirap siya magprogress above the century mark after all 105hp lang yan eh, but it will given the stretch of road. Also, check if your Revo is in good condition. Baka naman hindi nakakahinga kasi clogged ang air filter mo oh kaya it is already due for oil change.

Mine is a SRJ AT 2001 model (purchased last June 2011). The same ang problem ko sa you just pagkatapos ko bilhin revo. So pinatune-up ko sya immediately sa servitek. Ang mga ginawa: change spark plugs, change air filter, change fuel filter, re-timing, and adjust efi. Pinaadjust ko na rin brakes ko. After that, at 110 kph (sa Coastal ko pa lang nasubukan, di ko pa nasubukan sa malaki exfress way like NLEX) nas 2400 rpm lang siya. At 80 kph, nasa 2000 rpm lang. If you have 80 kph at 3000 rpm with that 2.0 engine, baka di nakacondition yung engine. Have it check na lang sa servitek with a computer diagnostic device.
