Don't make hasty judgements before you see the ACTUAL pictures. They may look different from these computerized 'official' pictures. I can safely say this because the all new Rav 4 is supposed to be larger than its predecessor in ALL dimensions. Length, width and height. These 'official' pictures suggest otherwise.

Looks acceptable...I'll wait for the actual unit and decide to pursue the rav or the fortuner

The new Vitara is better looking. but hey, the RAV is a TOYOTA. and it still commands respect. Those interest better an early reservation. To avoid another Fortuner woes.

    NEW GENERATION RAV4
The new RAV4 will be the third generation of the vehicle which kick-started the market for sporty, compact SUVs 11 years ago. Since that time it has become a consistent best-seller, topping the European 4x4 sales charts for the past four years.

The new model promises significantly enhanced driving pleasure and performance, improved quality, wider application of advanced technology, greater interior space and a creative modular interior design.

That's not the only thing that's wider on this model.

current rav4 costs around 1.2M for the 4wd, i bet the new one will be in that range too, maybe slightly higher

when the 2nd gen Rav4 came here in 2000 - that was what happened. just let the initial brouhaha die down.

IMO - the new Rav4 looks L-A-M-E! the front facia is taken from the sequioa I think. and the sides!!! from the very curvy 2nd gen - with curves in all of the panels from the front fender to the rear door - it became just another plain jane!

Mukhang beterano na yung Toyota sa lugar (predatory tactics on hot products) na 'to. Makes me wonder why do people even bother to patronize them and their boring products. Never liked anything from Toyota until the Fortuner arrived.
