Sakit sa ulo yung itim no joke... lambot paint (sikkens) although ganda ng shade ng black (straight black, no metallics).

But I REALLY like the seats more than anything else in this car... sarap talaga sakyan.

S'yempre naman... Japanese assembled RAV4 yan (sarap ng leather n'yan pati - sheep skin, I think).

Recently made a downpayment on a rav4 2006 4x2 model last two weeks ago. Ang Sarap sakalin ng mga taga-toyota!!! sabi nila walang waiting list tapos lumipas two weeks wala pa din unit saka nila sasabihin medyo pahirapan kumuha ng unit and medyo waiting pero di singhaba ng fortuner. Any ideas kung gaano katagal talaga waiting period para sa isang rav4? Hope it's going to be worth the wait. binenta ko kotse ko na luma para makapagdownpayment dun. hehehe. saan na din ok magpagawa ng leather seats? thanks.

Ahhh...this is Toyota's customer service at its best. The agent boldly told me that upon making a reservation for a Fortuner, all I have to do is wait for a month for any variants or color that I want. Being weary from the previous year's rush for a Fortuner and getting desperate [so foolish of me], I made a downpayment and yes, I still dont have a unit after 2 month and 9 days.

Sir why don't you try Toyota Shaw... At first kasi nasa waitin list kami (pang 21 daw) ng Toyota Calasiao as early as January (ni hindi pa na launch ung 2006 Rav4, waitin list kaagad). Then a very close relative of ours suggested that we do not have to wait but rather go sa Toyota Shaw, kaya ayun after one hour of negotiations, nailabas kaagad naman yung 2006 Rav4, 4x4, Black.... alang upgrade.... you could contact Vic Lee, sales rep na nag asikaso sa amin dun sa paglabas ng unit...he is really good pare!

Barely weeks after the introduction of 06 RAV4, I contacted one Toyota dealer to check whether there;s still available na previous model RAV. Sabi nila meron and I asked for a discount since technically - old model na sya. Initially, they gave 100k discount. then I bargained for more which they gave me another 100k. so ang net amount was P1.126M. so ok na. I made my reservation. Tapos, when it was time for me to check the unit so i would know which accessories pakabit ko (wasnt able to check it right away dahil nsa planta pa daw), i was so shocked to find out that the unit was so dirty, stained carpet, yung mga plastic mouldings halatang luma na, walang amoy bago at meron nang milyahe. They didnt even bother to have it cleaned. Then, yung ahente confided the unit was used as display unit all over the country - it was the same unit used during the launch in 2003/3004. Imagine ganun na kaluma yung auto and they're selling it as brand new!!! nkakaasar.

Agree ako diyan walang maniniwala sa kanila no. Abuso talaga sila sa kotse pag di sa kanila. dati nagpa-change oil ako sa casa, habang hinihintay ko yung unit ko release, Bigla may dumating na kotse humaharurot pinalundag pa sa service ramp. sabi ko pa, walastik naman nito di marunong mag-alaga ng kotse. Lo and behold, paglabas ng driver ng kotse. nakasulat Service Technician. Kinilabutan ako nun. Reaction pa ng mga kasama niya andun, ok a napalundag pa. pagkakuha ko ng unit ko, di na ako bumalik dun para magpa-change oil.

If you are buying an old model, insist on an NOS (new-old-stock) unit. Ex-demo na ang unit na pinakita nila sa iyo. Ex-demos command fair USED market value only.

I made my counter-offer. I was willing to buy it for 800k. sabi nila, sarado p1.1M nlang and take out only p26k - the cost of interior/exterior detailing and get the unit as is. meaning kung anong dumi nang nakita ko sya. nkaka inis!

Sabi nila hindi nmn daw ginawang test drive, pang display lang. pero sino ba nmn ang maniniwala sa kanila.
