The dealer called me yesterday If I'm still interested in the RAV, They have available Silver 4x4. I politely said No Thanks! Too Expensive for its category.

My brother bought a silver 4x4 RAV4, maganda naman at malaki ang body w/ matching 17" tire. I did a test drive and wow...smooth drive and good response of engine...tahimik!
Head turner naman dahil nang dinala namin sa Alabang Town Center ang daming uzi, kinukuhanan ng pics.
Why is it that the 4x2 RAV4 is wider than the 4x4 by 40mm? Or this is just a TYPO error.

Its not a typo error. The 4x4 is wider by 40-mm because of the fender flares.Originally Posted by herbularyo

I saw the all-new RAV4 4x2 silver color at my toyota dealer when I had my Fortuner serviced. By coincidence a silver 2nd Gen RAV4 was also serviced at that time. For me the 2nd Gen RAV4 is more appealing. The dashboard of the new model is too futuristic for my taste. Probably I am just too old for this type of vehicle (he he he). If I am 10 years younger it could have been another story. Just my opinion.
May Nissan Murano padating din sa Pinas Q2 I think. More or less 2M daw. These are just rumors ;)
Nagiging SUV crazy na ang pinas ah![]()
The Honda Pilot is the same old Pilot sold 3 or 4 years ago. Then again it's bigger and has a third row seating. Did the Honda accounts manager say that it'll come with the V6?
Luma na ang styling ng Honda Pilot, parang Everest ang dating.Originally Posted by DacoTyan

It's spacious, quiet and nice ride for a SUV. The interiors are nice and well built. Although I'm not 100% happy with the seat materials. Leather is better but the 4x4 is just too expensive and not worth it anymore.
Too bad they didn't include the push button starter like the US models. Oh, sure na that this is the LWB. It says so in the manual...
was able to take a peek of both the 4x2 and the 4x4 variant. imho, the tires are too small for the big body. this is more noticeable in the 4x4 variant because of the flarings. nagmukhang pasok yung tires. unlike the 4x2, sakto yung lapad with the body. for the price of these, sana they installed the 18" oem wheels. mas babagay cguro.
about the spare tire, mas gusto ko yung sa german version.
this is the us version sport...(check out the 18" wheels on it)
this is the rear of the german version(swb)...no spare tire...

Wow, cool nga tignan itong walang spare tire. Parang sportier. Or is it because it is SWB and has 18" rims? Sorry, can't tell from the pic if it is SWB and 18" nga, but it looks good, parang Rav4 Gen2 pa nga ang dating somehow.Originally Posted by toadstool

Its too late for Toyota to release the spare-tire-less version in the short time, as it could create confusion. But I think its a good idea for this Rav4's midlife facelift in three to four years time.Originally Posted by nyb

Really quick message - just picked up my Rav4, 4X2, Black; optional addons, Leather, reverse sensor. Still waiting on HID lights, DVD Head unit with iPod jack and unsure about upgrading to 18 or 19" rims..... Its nice.
GO ahead and post any questions you may have abt the unit itself - will log on tonite with answers. I had to get out of the office for two hours over lunch to go pick it up, so backlog of emails to clear![]()
Sinster, how much was the leather options? Also the DVD head unit with iPod jack. mukhang ok yun ha.. how long did it take them to install the leather seats?
Chairman,
Leather was 45T Pesos. DVD head unit is going to be max 20T pesos; but dealer is still checking the arying options on that...
They took abt a day for the leather install; very nice job actually. I went for the grey to match the interior. Dealer was suggesting two tone to make it look sporty - but wasnt sure abt the black/grey combination - so kept it simple.
I am also checking abt the fender flares, same as the 4X2 - it does look a little less menacing without the flares....
Sinster, thanks for the info. Which dealer did you get the Leather seats from? Pati ba side panel? my dad wanted to get his with leather seats also but Toyota Cabanatuan said they couldn't do it or something like that. Kung one day lang, I'll tell my dad. he might have it done there nalang. May pics ka ba ng leather seats mo?
As for the fender flares... I told my dad, between the leather seats or fender flares I'd go with the seats. Actually I kinda like it without the flares. Di masyadong maliit tingnan yung 17" wheels pag wala.
Congrats on the RAVI'm sure you'll enjoy it.
