they should have at least considered keeping ABS.
like what i read, safety shouldn't be "optional equipment" but standard!

But you can get the SV in Monotone Black!!!
I was really really impressed with it when i saw it this afternoon. VEry very nice! I hate the Blue sidings though
specs...
2.0L VVT-i engine, 148hp
ABS, EBD, dual airbags, 3rd brake lamp, front and rear fog lamps
fulltime 4WD

10 disc CD changer + in dash CD player (1 DIN)
kiper18,
Oo nga halata sa sig mo he he
Kidding aside, my first choice was escape when I saw it in MSN, kaya lang unang lumabas ang CRV kaya yun ang nabili ko. My brother-in-law though bought the escape xls. Ayos naman performance, sa makina lang medyo lamang ang CRV.
a fair price would be around 980thousand for an automatic. pero after negotiations, you could let go at 950.
..... gusto mo benta mo sakin ng 900 kukunin ko yan hehehe (j/k)
aqua2,
ayan oh..
kukunin na ni pajerokid yan..!!
basta hwag ka lang papahuli.. babaratin ka niyan..!!
peace.
Anybody have any experience hauling a trailer behind a Gen 2 RAV4 2x4?
Is there a "draw tite" hitch available for this model?
It dpnds on what you plan to haul. The payload has to be small. Max it out at 500 lbs including trailer and you should be able to do that. In other words, maybe a jetski but thats about it. Personally I wouldnt use this vehicle for this task
By the way, take note that I said jetski and not an aquacycle which is significantly heavier. When you include the trailer in the equation this would be close to 800 lbs or even more
May towpack ang RAV4 available from Toyota (although your dealer may have to order it from overseas). It includes the approved hitch and wiring for trailer lamps.
With a braked trailer (not inertia brakes) and the proper tounge weight, a RAV4 can tow more than 1,000 lbs. Way more than that pero hindi ko alam exact figure. Sorry.

Towing with the Rav4 gen 2 is ok for very light loads like a jet ski, just stay away from those moldy water ramps, No Center diff lock remember.........
Thanks for the info guys. My sister in law is planning to get one to haul a camping trailer. Their other choice for hauling is a Gen 2 pajero 2.8 diesel automatic that they said was way underpowered. I haven't driven it though so can't confirm.
I'm sure that the paj has the pulling power but probably not get very fast.
Forget the Rav if its a camper you have in mind!!!! Try a Patrol or trooper. A mitsu has this tendency to be "mausok" after a short period of time (1 year) of heavy usage
ironarch,
We've used a 72bhp (non-turbo) GEN I Pajero for pulling a trailer of palay. 14 sacks was how much we could cram into the trailer so that's how much we pulled. Kaya naman. Although unnerving because the trailer didn't have brakes so we kept speeds to around 60kph.
Ang problema sa Pajero is that it has a pintle hook for towing and not a hitch and there is no trailer wiring. So you still have to buy a towpack for it. Military trailers na lang ata ang kumakabit sa pintle hook in this day and age.
Buti pa yung Expedition complete ang towpack. Hitch and wiring are standard.
