Toyota PH cruises past 2M unit sales milestone | Autoindustriya

2 million Toyotas have found their way into Filipino homes all over the country, a testament to the affinity that car buyers have for cars, SUVs, vans, MPVs, pick-ups and commercial vehicles that wear the T emblem on the grille. The achievement follows their recent success of maintaining the “Triple Crown” with the highest sales in passenger cars, commercial vehicles, and overall sales as a brand.
There is, however, a caveat here: the count for the 2 million unit sales actually only goes back to Augut 3, 1988 when Toyota Motor Philippines was set up as a company with Toyota Motor Corporation (34%), Mitsui & Co. (15%) and George Ty's Metrobank (later GT Capital, 51%). The count does not include vehicles sold by the previous Toyota partner which was Delta Motor Corporation for a long time prior, so there will be much more.

    truly, one-stop-shop ang toyota dealership.

kumita na sa benta ng kotse,
    kumita ulit sa financing.
at kikita na nasman bawat PMS.

    yup... kaya nga napa-wow ako.

I remember reading an article before na malulugi ang dealership if lahat ng tao bibili ng car in cash. napaka-liit daw ng tubo nila.

    ***

yung classmate ko dati who once worked for a car dealership told me...

Yung papasok sa car dealership na naka-shorts and tshirt, malamang bibili in cash and halos wala silang kikitahin. Pero yung pormang porma, aasikasuhin nila lahat kasi most probably di ma-approve bank loan nya and in-house loan ang gagamitin.

Kikita sila sa initial sale, monthly pay and yearly insurance

    Of course TFS is growing.

Their dealers are still "forcing" customers to avail of in-house financing as a precondition for the "availability" of units.

Pag cash o bank PO, walang available units. Pag in-house financing, mayroon kaagad.

Tapos kumpara sa rates ng bangko sa labas, sa in-house financing yung monthly installment mas mataas, yung insurance premium mas mataas, at yung chattel mortage fees halos doble.

In short, Taga Financial Services parin

They also have Kinto One Leasing Program..

Toyota Financial Services Philippines launches KINTO ONE, a new mobility service that fits today’s dynamic lifestyle.

With continuously changing customer demands, Toyota has geared up to provide a new customer experience for Filipino consumers who are exploring to shift from conventional car ownership to usership. Whether it is hassle-free personal transportation, moving of goods from point A to B, or the privilege of driving a new car every three or four years, KINTO ONE is the mobility service of the next generation.

“KINTO One”, the product package offered by Toyota Financial Services Philippines, allows customers to select from Toyota models and drive the car for three or four years. It is a full service lease package with no down payment required. The fixed monthly subscription already covers vehicle registration, annual comprehensive insurance, and regular periodic and preventive maintenance. Once the lease term is completed, the customer simply returns the vehicle to Toyota Financial Services and everything else is taken care of; such a great worry-free option for customers.
so included na lahat.. down payment, chattel, insurance, pms.. so what happens after 4 years? sayo na ba yung sasakyan??

found it.. so all those payments.. gone after 4 years..

sa US and Canada pag nag lease ka may option na you get the car after lease expiration.. and mababa lang ang monthly kasi nga lease lang and you don't get to own the car.. dito sa Toyota leasing baligtad.. mas mahal pa yung monthly kesa bibili ka..

may kausap ako dati, random sales agent.

It's sa lease so you don't own the vehicle.

I played with the Toyota website...

    using the Fort at 37,796

    Yung 4x2G AT at 1.7M is 36,361/month *20% down

Tipid mo is yung down payment, 344.600
    PMS - 4X/year sa Toyota
battery, tires, etc (I hope sa Toyota din yung tires)

tapos Toyota na bahala mag-dispose nung car for you after 4 years (abala din magbenta)

Avis is presently at 56.7K/month kung 4 years

hinde ba parang lugi sa lease? just by looking at the monthly payments malaki din maman tapos afterwards wala ka rin kotse?
these are brandnew so i'm assuming di pa ganun kalaki ang maintenance costs. may downpayment ba din amg lease?

    no down pag lease..

pero you need to finish the contract for 3 or 4 years.. otherwise you pay 50% of the contract price..

dapat yun after 4 years sayo na yung car.. para mas madami mag avail.. or at least they give you back 50% of what you pay..

so after four years of monthly renting, the car ends up with toyota still, and you end up with nothing.

bilhin nyo na lang yung car.
at the usual down payment and monthly payments, after 60 months, the car is yours.
hindi na siguro magkakalayo ang gastos.

Walang DP. Ganun talaga because wala ka na iisipin, just drive it around.
