    New Camry is very impressive. the styling is very elegant in the flesh (although it borrows a lot from the BMW 3 and 5 series) and moves from granddad Cefiro to avant garde Accord. It's still a very bulky car, but at least it looks somewhat lower and more balanced compared to the old car.

    but it's the interior that's truly impressive. unlike the latest Hondas, the dash is blissfully low and pushed forward, offering great visibility and at the same time creating a subjectively non-confining space. the design and the quality are, simply, superlative.

    the price is, as always, a whole world away from the competition (the 2.4 V Camry, at 1.65 milion, is already toe to toe against the V6 Accord!), but historical data shows that people are willing to pay a premium for a Camry in this segment of the market.
