i have a toyota hilux G 2008, its stock wheels are very slippery in wet conditions so im planning to upgrade the wheels as well as the mags to 20" series 50 will that compromise the riding comfort?coz 18" is barely seen so i prefer a 20".PLS ADVISE coz my dad told me its not a good idea but all of the tire dealers i went thru advsie me a 20" instead of 18"!!!

you compromise comfort whenever you upsize your wheels.

but trucks were not made for comforts anyway.

    Atomictom, number001,

My budget lift costs around 4k. This includes labor and alignment. All the materials used were from the junk shop (6” diameter steel pipe for the spacers and steel plates for the shackles).
The lifting was done on our garage. As for the ride, I think it got stiffer.

    Sorry for the delayed reply

did anyone changed their stock shocks on their hilux G's to an aftermarket one?if ever my mga owners na nag palit na,may i know what brand/model did you install and how much.althought the stock OEM shocks are really tough also,i just want a softer ride, and at 130k plus on the odo,i think its time to change it already.

    thanks

sir ome shock and spring... kung may balak magpalit ng mga arb/steel type bumper for winch... use the heavy duty type spring tsaka yung nitrogen charge na shock.. sarap na ng ride nun..
kung stock bumper, ok na yung light duty spring... yung sa rear naman.. shock lang pinalitan namin... dont expect too much.. leaf spring kasi e.. =)

I believe bilstein will last longer as the rear is loaded with heavy stuffs when going to province where the roads are rough and lots of ruts. Don't expect a car like ride, it is still a truck.

it is absolutely not a good idea, it only looks good but the ride is para kang nag gulong ng kahoy.

    I'm very sorry for a very late reply . . .

The shocks and coils for the front cost P 22K
    The rear shocks P13K
    The customized shackles P5K
The Camera and back sensor P5K, I have installed DVD wt LCD earlier.
Each BFG 32" tires cost P8.7K

These upgrades were done over several months, not a one time job.
