Hi guys im a new tsikot member this is my first post.

My dad has the new hilux but i had the pleasure of doing the mods on it.
Modifications:

front old man emu coils and springs
self designed fabricated rear roll bar
16" slightly more offset mags
biggest pirelli's to fit front without hitting bumper when turning
removed 1 inverted leaf spring
painted orig step board rubberized black

we love its performance and my dad decided to buy another one despite my efforts to convince him on the new ford ranger with 380nm of torque!

my question: has anyone here replaced their suspensions with bilsteins? if yes please advise me on their performance.

guys if you have any questions regarding my mods ill be happy to answer them. Ill be posting a picture soon.

I've had a friend recommend Old Man Emu shocks.

Parang auto daw ang feel. Hindi na matagtag.

Kamusta naman ang functionality, loading capacity? Hindi naman apektado?

May mawawala bang warranty pag kinalikot?

Maibabalik pa din yung orig kung hindi ok ang kinalabasan?

Magkano inabot yung sa inyo sir?

I noticed the straight stance... nawala yung pagkataas ng likod.... puede naman siguro ma adjust ng kaunti?

load carrying capacity will still be the same. As to warranty sa shocks lang mawawala ang warranty mo sa casa, if they are educated. some owners straight from the casa, sometimes driver pa ng casa nag dedeliver sa amin change to OME shocks na.

the rear is still a bit taller even when changing the front springs. if you want a stock look you can change the rear leaf springs to OME.

I went to a local Toyota dealer here in Cagayan de Oro and was supprised to see the new price for the Hilux 4x4 a/t at 1,415,000.00 (from 1,405,000.00).

They said it will come with dual airbags. Unfortunately, they haven't received the brochure with the new specs.

Anyone else heard anything about the silent change of pricing/features?

when i got my Hilux 4x4 A/T a month ago, it was already covered by the silent price increase. yup it already comes with dual airbags.

Galing, I think sulit na ang 10k for the second airbag. Although I still want LSD and other stuff of the Strada GLS Sport, the Hilux just "feels right" for me.

same here bro. i really considered the Strada GLS Sport, but in the end the Hilux won me over because i felt it was more rugged.

curious lang, everytime i pass by the toyota showroom here, there's a base hilux on display with the black grill, the inner part of the grill has chrome slits inside or billet type grill. wonder if the revised grill is standard now?

dahil ba matipid ang pinoy kaya tinitipid din nila ang specs?... baka subrang prohibitive ng tax natin kaya nag cutdown sila sa specs to look more attractive ang price.. tsk tsk!

*sandstorm: Amen to that. Talagang prohibitive ang tax natin kaya talagang nagmamahalan ang presyo ng mga imported na sasakyan. Unfortunately super price sensitive ng mga Filipino so talagang babawasan ang mga features para mapababa ang sticker price ng mga sasakyan nila.

mga sir pano kaya malift ng konti ang front ng hilux naten ung mura lng.mas maganda kasi pag level ang height.para magmukhang 2010 fortuner ang tindigan.mas malaki pati tingnan.any suggestion?
