laki ng profit nyan sa DVD system
a motorized 2 din HU with DVD player would probably cost 40+k, but since they get the DVD systems in bulk then it will be cheaper for them. just a guess.
Ok, this thread has been started so that people can state their woeful experiences in trying to get a reservation for a Fortuner. The Fortuner Test Drive thread is now cluttered with dealership complaints instead of testdrive info, eh...
This will hopefully educate the consumer as to which dealers offer better deals and which dealers are better avoided.![]()

Me, I have no complaints with my Dealership: Toyota Shaw-Ortigas...![]()
My agent is very kind and quick to answer my queries as to the availability of the unit. I am told that I am #7 for a 3.0V Fortuner of the color I specified. If all units delivered to my dealer are of the color I specified, I am sure to get a unit in the 1st batch. :hihihi:
* toyota.com.ph the fortuner's tag line is 'The world is mine' wow such bold words pero wala naman stock hehe
Baka ang ibig sabihin: Fortuner, the world is mine but you can't be mine...(dahil nga walang stock)
or, "THE WORLD IS MINE SO TOE MY LINE OTHERWISE YOU CAN JUST LICK MY BEHIND!"![]()
vicoyski,
can you pm the agent to me? , are you availing of in-house financing?
tingnan natin after a few months kung okay performance ng first batch na kumuha ng 4tuner..........pag me lumabas na bulok jan, most of the reservations will end up as...............reservations :bwahaha: asar kasi ako sa mga abusadong dealers.
Problem is, baka walang bulok na lumabas... 4 months nang naka-launch ang Fortuner sa Thailand, where it's assembled. It's doing extremely well there. 4 months and no negative reviews, so far. That's quite an achievement... Furthermore, last April, Toyota captured over 70% of the SUV market in Thailand (2331 units sold). :puyat: The nearest contender couldn't even break 300 sales for April 2005. What do you think that says about the Fortuner?Originally Posted by 109

We used to buy a newly launched vehicle for the novelty of it. However, in most of the vehicles we've had, there were always glitches/defects regardless of the brand. We would learn later on that these defects were common in similar units acquired at about the same time as ours but were corrected in the later batch of units. From there, we learned our lesson to let a few months pass by 'til the manufacturer rectifies the defects. The differences in the road/environmental conditions plus the way the vehicle is used in our country may have something to do with the appearance of certain defects not seen in the country of origin. Just my 2 cents.![]()
Dapat yata palitan na ng Toyota yung pangalan, "Misfortuner" na.![]()
Learn from the lessons of the Picanto...
Remember the country of origin in this case has nearly the same conditions as RP. Though, the heat in Thailand during summer can be very extreme with humidity levels so high you'd see your shirt totally drenched after a short walk outside.Originally Posted by Automahn

also... no "real" reviews so far other than just quoting from the brochures. hehehe...Originally Posted by vicoyski
and are you sure that there are no lemons mixed in with all those manufactured Fortuners? sounds unbelievable...
remember the other poster here about his lemon Rav4 (sludges formed inside the engine). and to think that the Rav4 is made in Japan itself.
