reservation can be as low as 5k. kaya lang, sa reservation list, doon ka sa bottom ng nagbigay ng 5k (and above). if u give a higher reservation, say 100k, you will be at the bottom of the ones who gave 100k and above.

mas i-prioritize ngayon ang nagbibigay ng higher reservation fee. so if u gave a reservation fee of 5k maski abril pa, eh mauunahan ka ng nagbigay ng 100k today.

Just wanted to share with everyone my conversation with a sub-dealer this morning. Used the Manila Bulletin to check out some ads and what caught my attention was this ad that said 3 days-2 weeks delivery. Called the number and was told by the person on the other line (name is Ben) and he guarantees delivery within 3days to 2 weeks for p30,000 or your money back. Asked him if cash or bank financing is used will it still be the same. Answer was yes, just pay me P30,000 and tapos timbre ko na sa TMP whatever dealership you prefer. So there you have it, TMP has a say who gets first. If you think he is bluffing, I don't think so but I would rather not pay an additional P30,000, just me though.

For those who may want to check him out, his number is 8266542/8266559 or 0917-8821688. I MAY NOT ENDORSING HIM IN ANY WAY BUT YOU MAY JUST WANT TO FIND OUT WHY THERE IS NO ORDER IN THEIR SUPPOSEDLY RESERVATION LIST.

Whoa! :puyat: I can't believe that fixers would go to the extent of advertising their services... Just be careful. You'll never know if he's just out to con you out of your well earned money.

It's usually the dealers who have a say as to who gets the units first. The plant only allocates how many number of units get to each dealership each month.

If this fixer's the real deal, he must definitely be connected with TMPC's Marketing Department, or at least have a well placed contact there. That's the only way he can set this up. Wow, talk about conflict of interest!

or, could it be possible that this person made this a business proposition and made reservations of the fortuner at all dealers in metro manila and he is merely "reselling" his reservation rights? he could be using different names to reserve also, hmmmmm

i think all toyota dealers should begin purging their reservation lists to separate the legtimite buyers from the speculators

I think so too... The 2400 or so reservations is not very realistic... It's like saying that there are 2400 individuals with over P1M of cash (or loans). If, by some miracle, the 2400 units arrive next week, will these people in line really be able to cough-up the required payment?

IMO, most of the people who put-in a reservation aren't even actually getting a unit. Most of the people who put-in reservations didn't even bother to leave deposits. Our country is not as large as Thailand as to have a 2400 unit requirement on the 1st month of a model's release! :puyat: In fact, TMPC's Marketing Department was, apparently, only predicting a 200 unit requirement per month.

some of the people advertising in the papers are sales rep of other companies. nung tinawagan ko yung isa, sabi niya he could deliver within a month, c/o toyota otis. tinanong ko kung paano siya connected with toyota. sabi niya may contact lang siya doon. he actually works for mitsubishi. nung sabi ko na medyo matagal ang one month, inalok niya yung montero nila. hehehe. mas mahal nga lang......

If my memory serves me right, this also happened before with Honda with their CRV but it was shortlived (please correct me if im wrong).

Re my post earlier, since he said that i can get it from any Toyota dealership and ititimbre niya sa TMP, makes sense if you will ask me na taga TMP nga bcoz i don't think he is connected to all Toyota dealerships.

With this news that the dealerships have stopped accepting reservations, do you think they'll begin purging their list of reservations to remove speculators?

They should call each name on the list and have them visit the dealer to confirm their desire to get a unit, pay a deposit and then get some freebies... That should clean-up the list.

I'm not sure where to post it pero I guess it would be better here...

Just an idea to the ones who ordered... Can we post what, when, where are ur reserved units and how much the reservation was and when is the expected date of arrival, so we would have an estimate here palang kung gano na ka dami ang naloko... (ayyy mali).... magiging soon to be fortuner owners??? and also it would be a good reference for others...

    Simulan ko na ....

4x2 VVTI, May 20, Toyota Cubao, 50 K, expected date Aug ata...
