Rode in one, mas ok ride ng Everest even.
The problem with the fortuner is the springs. the shocks are ok but also better if replaced. the springs are very stiff because of its metal composition and design. Try the suspension kit by dobinsons specially designed for the fortuner. It gives a much softer ride as well as minimizing sway. Handling is very good to. problem is it cost a lot. Around 50k including installation for the spring and shocks kit.
hi tacio,
thanks for the info...
where can u get the dobinsons suspension kit? how about warranty issues?
why eat ordinary burger when you are eating angus beef burger?Paj definitely is better.
if you want, try a t-bone steak in 2.2crdi Santa Fe.superb ride but have no idea againts the Paj.
i have ridden a 3.0 fortuner at ok naman livable naman, pero if you compare it sa pajero malayo. well kung sanay ka na sa pajero siyempre matatagtagan ka talaga.
If only Toyota made those test units available to the public and not to the medias only. Toyota has been very complacent esp. since the long waiting list is still filled to the brim. Maybe in the future, when the Fortuner becomes a fleeting memory after another takes its place in the throne, then will Toyota start sweating again (notice lately how most Toyota dealers have an Innova test unit?) .Originally Posted by ILuvDetailing
how about comparing it with honda crv 2003 4x2???
alin ang matagtag sa dalawa???
have not rode long enough to really feel the suspension but since the innova and fortuner have many similar parts (heck, same chassis), like the innova it is pretty bouncy, kahit coil springs na grabe pa rin talbog.
i own a Fortuner. its realy bouncy. but everyone is still buying this SUV. may be because of the looks. sa totoo lang yung iba naman eh just looking for the looks not the performace of the car. and the TOYOTA ksi mura yung parts.
afaik, order pa nila sa thailand yung mga parts..same goes with the autoshops naman, they have suppliers who order straight from thailand or whereever...i guess sa ngayon konti pa lang..pero give it time..dadami na rin ang parts sourcing aside from the casa.
nothing against the fortuner owners... but... sobrang dami ko nang nakikitang fortuner sa daan.
just the other day... sa megamall basement parking... 3 fortuners (g variant) ang katabi ko!
