    guys, tulong naman pa?!!

my Dad will give his old car (Toyota Corona Silver Edition) sa akin .........

nagamit when my Dad got sick, pero all original and kumpleto pa sya)

    2. Buo pa naman lahat ng pang-ilalim (that's according to my Dad, pero i

doubt :?: :D) definitely papaayos pa yon....

    4. Tires and Mags - luma na and flat (walang hanging)

    5. Interior needs alot of improvement and repairs specifically yung

carpet, sidings, center console etc. pero buong-buo pa upuan....

.......... hehehehe!!!

GANON

YON!!!! These were the things na napansin ko dun sa auto coz i'm not that

    technichally good sa car eh.

Now, my main concern is hindi ba mahirap maghanap ng parts nito

(Toyota Corona Silver Edition) sa market? i'm planning to have the car

    restored sana eh.

I badly need your opinion and advice regarding this matter...... pasensya

na guys ha?!!! Itutuloy ko ba i-restore yung car or what?!!!

ha?!!! (as in mura lang) hehehehe!!! :D

    Yun lang po........... haba noh?!!

    Thanks in advance!!!!!!

The amount of restoration for your can only be limited by one thing, MONEY how much money are you willing to spend? restoring a car is not an easy task, it takes alot of time a patience and a very very deep pocket. what do you want to be done? restore it like new? or restore it to the point that your going to use it as a daily driver? think about what you really want to be done before you proceed.

from what you're saying, it seems it will be more economical (and iwas-sakit ulo) if you will just buy another second-hand car that is already running!!!

yes, there are still parts for the corona (80's version?) and a lot of replacement parts too!!!

in restoring it, you've got to make a "laundry list" or "punch list" of what needs to be done in the order of priority, for example:

    1. engine- compression test, overhaul if needed, engine swap???
    2. underchassis - all suspension parts including bushings
    3. steering and brake assembly- replace parts if necessary, surplus parts possible if you have somebody knowledgeable tow with you.
    4. clutch assembly- pressure plate and lining, release bearings etc...
    5. tranny and differential- check kung may ugong. kung mero, try surplus or overhaul sa machine shop

kung okay na the above, then proceed with the exterior and interior:
    1. doors - hines, window mechanism, lock, weather strips
    2. body- rust, body works like painting etc...
    3. interior - sound insulation, carpet, door sidings (surplus exists), seats (suggest you just replace with after market seats).
    4. all electricals- headlight, windshield washer, interior and dashboarad lights, etc...
    5. tires and wheels

kung okay na the above, then proceed with amenities:
    1. aircon
    2. sound set-up

dami pwede gawin dyan sa koste mo, dude. question is how much r you willing to spend and saan mo gagamitin. daily driving, rebuild everything na lang, mura ang parts ng corona silver ed, but you should look for a very competent mechanic and a good body/paint shop para di masayang perang gagamitin mo. pero kung gusto performance, mahina ang corona silver ed, kung naka 12R engine yan (standard sa corona silver ed) malamang sooner or later gusto mong magpalit. think about it.:|

12R, for daily driving... okay na yan.

iniisip ko kc instead of buying a low budget 2nd hand car na magre-range

pra maganda. cguro i'd be willing to shell out around 20k-30k. eh di

    100k++ na yon.....

kahit siguro gumastos ako ng 50k-80k for all the repairs na na-mention

btw, meron na me na-contact for the body repair en body paint, estimate

nya around 30k-40k magagastus nun..... (wala pa engine repair

    underchasis and the rest).

    Sir Tikboy,

San nyo pinagawa yung Toyota Corona nyo, nasa inyo pa rin ba?!! San

    yung shop.

nga pla, gusto ko paggawa yung auto to the extent na hindi

ako kakaba-kaba pag ginamit ko sa express way at yung nice and makinis

sana sya. (in and out) ........... hehehehehe!!! meron ba non repair na

    mura?! :?:
