The Corona is still very much alive in other parts of the world. Eto yung pambato ng Toyota sa Europe (Carina e), but hindi kasing mabenta as the Nissan Primera.

I found the corona fugly, that's until my dad bought my sis one in 94. :D

toyota motor philippines has no plan of reviving corona here in the philippines. there are still new coronas in japan though.

vsb: aside from toyotaclubphil.com and grupotoyta.com, i dont know any clubs that cater to corona owners specifically.

imo, the camry is a worthy replacement for the st-191 corona... parang mas bagay ang camry dito sa atin than the rona hehe

Siyempre pa. The Camry belongs to a more upscale category. :D Pero IMO, it's nothing to get excited about. Yung current model is a whole different story altogether.

Corona pala ang pinalitan ng Camry?!!?? Parehas lang ba ang Corona at Cressida? Kasi I have a car ES250 which was derived from the Cressida which later on became the Camry. Gulo ba?

Eto pa pampagulo..... yung Avensis ba sa Europe, yun ba yung Corona sa atin? I've read somewhere that the Avensis is slightly larger than the Corolla but smaller than the Camry.

corona and cressida are the same. camry is another platform. conona/cressida is between camry and corolla level.

hi! wow! corona ba ka-mo? ders a lot of corona owners hir sa cyberspace! meron sa toyotaautoclub, meron din sa grupotoyota., in our group (teamrage) we hav 7 corona members nationwide (5 in metro manila or 6, 1 in davao).

avensis sya sa euro, almost same ung size

premio(tama ba?), meron mga 2 or 3 units d2 sa pinas

carina or carina e sa ibang bansa

toyota decided not 2 include corona in its line up mainly bcoz, it didnt want 2 confuse d buyer w/c 2 buy in almost d same category, but corona is a mid-size luxury car, weris camry, a larger n more luxurous car...

    Avensis = Corona

So sa Cressida talaga galing ang Camry and not the Corona. I came to that conclusion because the Avensis will soon find its way here in North America. It will be under the Scion brand meaning affordable sya just like the 2 models that Scion currently sell. Medyo tagilid yata if Toyota will pit a Camry against another Camry. Not good for sales di ba?

    SiR,
The Corona and Cressida are not the same since I have a car that is mechanically the same as the Cressida (now a Camry). The ES250 is known as a glorified Camry at that time. Here's some pictures that I found:

    1990 Cressida

    1990 Camry

    1990 ES250

    1991 Corona

    had an ST-191 rona before...

    1. no, at least not locally. merong 1.6 and 1.8 sa ibang bansa.
    2. sa gen1 RAV4 ata, pareho yung engines nitong dalawa if im not mistaken.
    3. vast interior room (at least equal to the latest camry and accord i think), not very exciting to drive, engine loses steam at the high-end but has pretty good mid-range punch, extremely tough and reliable.
