but go see the cars in the flesh. only then can you see if the car is really good or truly bad, and (hopefully) you will see how condition reflects price.
one thing i can say about old cars... the older the car, the higher the chance of something needing fixing up. yes yes... there are exceptions. and that exception is what we want to buy.
lastly, when you buy an older car, be aware that even if you restore it to factory spec, it might still feel like an older car. that is because your efforts are limited by the technology when that car was first built.
for example, a factory spec gli might (heaven forbid!) not be as nice to drive as a poorly maintained altis. (hey guys, example lang! don't get mad...)
