225/40R18 is the best fit IMO. That's what I had with my old Altis. Sakto pa sa circumference compared to stock tires (205/55R16). 235/40R18 fits too, although a bit wide.
225/45R18 pala yung weird pag walang drop. Sidewalls too thick.

depends on your route and your driving style imho.
for me (Altis 10.5G) 1.6 M/T, i average around 9.5 in heavy traffic, but in highways, i rake in around 15 kpl.

My jazz VX is 9km/liter city driving so i would say 10km/liter is very good. Though mine is bumper to bumper c5 or edsa traffic

Got 14.3 km/L for my Manila-Pampanga-Subic-Dinalupihan trip (281 km). Didn't expect it to be that good as the MID only showed 12.8 km/L.
Speed was about 100-130 on NLEX with bursts up to 160, while OG Road was about 70-90.
Nice FCs! Mine's just about 8.5 km/l average... But that's almost always just city driving... Mandaluyong-Makati-Mandaluyong, Mandaluyong-Novaliches-Mandaluyong usual trips. Only drove out of town once, Sta Rosa longest trip. Mine's an automatic, btw.

The CVT really makes this car fuel efficient on the highway.
I get 9 km/l on mostly city driving with some bicutan to C5 stretches. Logged 12.4 km/l on a manila-pagudpud-manila 1200km route. This includes side trips within vigan, and slow moving traffic in La Union. Average cruising speed on Expressways was 100-120 kph and around 80kph on provincial roads.
This was on a 2.0V. Had to gas up twice. 1st time in vigan, then on the way back in La Union
The Jetta that's with me however had to fill up only once.![]()
Hi guys hopefully i will be getting my altis 1.6 e on saturday. Ano kaya kailangan icheck sa car bago ilabas and totoo ba yung hangin sa gulong mataas like 35psi? 1st time kasi ako bibili ng brand new. And grabe nag price increase sila ng 14k. Thanks
They have a checklist to help you out in inspecting your new car. Most important thing is to check for scratches, so you can charge to them the repairs immediately. Other things to look out for include the invoice, insurance/TPL, early warning device, etc.
Tire pressures are usually high when you get them out of the casa. Mine was at 43 PSI. Went to the gas station to fill up and have the pressure dropped to 35 PSI. Recommended tire pressure though is 32 in the front and 30 at the rear, but I just like having higher tire pressure for the marginal FC improvement.
Sir jut703, ngayon ko lang nalaman about the higher tire pressure for better FC, thanks for thatbtw sir how's your FC? Also, how long does does it take before your rpm stabilizes or goes below 1k? I did some back reading and saw my old post and wanna know how long yours take

Minimal lang yung improvement sa FC with higher tire pressures, don't expect a significant improvement.
I haven't paid much attention to my startup rpm because you don't need to. When I get in the car, I fire up the engine, plug in my devices, adjust the mirrors if needed, set my destination on Waze if needed, text whoever I need to text, then get on my merry way. All that takes about 30 sec to a minute. Will check if the rpm goes down to below 1000 rpm in that span, but even if it doesn't, it's nothing to worry about.![]()
Ah I see... In my case kase, I tried not warming up the car, siguro about half a minute lang after starting, ramdam na ramdam yung shift shock haha!
If you don't mind sir, what fuel are you using? I haven't tried anything but fuelsave and the best I can get out of my unit is 8.5km/l. Full tank ko I can only get 385kms before I fill up again.
thank you sir *jut703 for the information. hindi daw kasama early warning device sa unit have to buy one pa. hindi kaya nakakasira ng tires if over inflated naman?
