started processing my car loan for the altis V, but lately been reading a lot of rattling issues here in tsikot and even other forums (Altis 2014 - Rattling sound from passenger door + driver door while driving)

for those who have rattling issue, is it enough reason not to recommend this car to your family and friends? or it's just an irritation that hopefully will be fixed soon?

if i proceed with this car, i might choose the white pearl color since the regular white, silver, dark gray are not available. question is, is it hard to maintain this color and can talyers do this color or i need to always go to casa for paint jobs?

    thanks

In my experience, usually mga compact cars below are more prone to rattles.

If you want to avoid rattles, buy an executive sedan.

The Altis is a great car, rattle or not.

Pearl white is difficult to maintain, mabilis mamantsa/manilaw. Grayish and Silver colors are the best in hiding minor scratches and dirt.

Disclaimer: I do not own an Altis, nor do I sell Toyotas :D

If you have covered parking most of the time, white is ok. If not, the painted metal parts and plastic parts won't fade evenly.

I agree with mda. It is very hard to maintain the pearl white paint. My brother has the gen 10.5 altis v pearl white and after two years and eight months the paint now has a slight beige tinge. This is despite the fact that he has covered parking both at home and in the office. He also rarely uses it (15k odo) when it rains and washes his car at least once a week. That being said, pearl white is a really nice color for the new altis specially if you don't plan to tint the windows.

    for V variant owners,

Have you tried the voice speak control na nasa steering wheel? Gumagana ba siya? Sabi kasi ng SA ko answer and reject lang daw yung buttons sa right side ng steering wheel, indication lang daw yung ulo na may soundwaves para sa bluetooth connection but hindi ako naniniwala kasi clickable yung button na yun.
    TIA

    Hi. New here.

Anybody know where I can find leatherette seat covers for the 1.6V? I was hoping to find a place where I can just order (without measuring the seats).

Also, anybody successful in getting a silicon "key shirt" for the key fob? Been to the usual suspects in Banawe without success.

    TIA!

I got mine from Seatmate. I think I posted some pics somewhere in this thread.

Maybe what you(we) have is CVT and NOT CVTi-S? Can anyone confirm this?
