Sirs, have you experienced having a foul smell come out of the aircon of the new altis when you open the aircon for the first time of the day or after its been parked for a long time? It smells like kulob na damit. SA says its the aircon absorbing the smell from INSIDE the car. I find that a load of bull. Opinions?

Hi sir, halos lahat ng kotse yata , I have both Accent and Tucson that sometimes releases foul smell. Pinagtatawanan pa ako dati sa hyundaiforums, baka daw talagang may patay na daga sa loob ng kotse ! hahahah. Try to circulate first the air coming from outside (there is a setting for that) for maybe 10 to 20 mins. mawawala din yan. And also try to clean the cabin air filter ..

Yes, i experienced it everyday but after a minute the foul smell was gone.

This is true. Humihigop kasi ang a/c sa loob mismo ng kotse natin kaya kung ano ang quality ng loob ng oto mo yun ang amoy ng buga nito.

My unit will be released this coming June16. Good decision po ba na I opted for 3M Black Chrome tint (visor only) kaysa sa window visors as freebie? Katwiran ni sales agent masmahal daw value ni window visors since it cost 4k+ sa casa. But inisip ko mura lang naman to sa labas.

assuming na hindi mo mauubos yung km requirement (1k, 5k, 10k, etc) so it means to say na you will go for the monthly requirement (1mo, 3 mos, 5 mos, etc), ang base date nito is the date of purchase tama ba? may confusion kasi dito sabi ng iba ang base date daw is yung last PMS mo eh pag ganun ang ngyari let say nasa 12 mos ka na meaning magaantay ka ng 1 year for the next PMS? ano ba take nyo dito?

simple analysis:
date of purchase: jan 1
1st PMS (1 mo): feb 1
2nd PMS (3 mos): apr 1
3rd PMS (5 mos): jun 1
etc...

2nd question is: is it really worth it to go for fully synthethic kung every 2 mos ang PMS mo and you will go for regular oil? i know the lifespan of fully synthetic oil is 10km or 6 mos whichever comes first and whenever mag pa PMS ka on fully synth may onte rin silang ififill up na oil pag may nasasama na oil pag tanggal ng oil filter so babayaran mo rin. ano ba experience nyo? care to share kung ano mas tipid?

If I'm not mistaken, one member sa forum posted a letter from TMP permitting customers to bring their own oil provided a waiver would be signed. I want to bring my own oil and filter kasi parang ang bigat masyado nung 20w50 grade na oil ng toyota for a new engine. I don't want to avail of the fully synthetic yet on my 1k and 5k kms PMS kasi di ko rin naman sasagarin yung 10k change oil interval. Okay po ang 5w30 grade sa 1.6 dual vvti engine?

pag nadadaan sa ilalim ng flyover, maingay un tulo ng tubig, parang yerong walang kisame

Really, they still put 20W50 in current models?

5W30 will save you on fuel cost because 30 grade oil are more fuel efficient

sir medyo naguguluhan ako...di ba sabi "which ever comes first?" so kung ibabased mo lang yung PMS mo sa mileage, what if umabot ka na ng 6mos let say hindi mo pa rin na reach yung 5k mileage hindi ka pa rin pa PMS?
