Pareho lang halos ng hatak ang Mazda 3 1.5 and Altis 1.6 CVT. The Altis might be slightly faster, but it doesn't feel fast because of the CVT which doesn't have any shift shock. By nature, ang CVT pag hinataw mo magrerev lang muna up to redline before delivering any power. Eto yung rubber band effect na sinasabi nila. Pero ultimately mas magaan ang Altis sa Mz3 and mas malakas makina.

Although malayo performance ng CVT sa 1.6 na manual.

Tama si sir jut, ilang beses nadin ganito case ng sakin, although noob driver pa tlga ako pero parang nakuha ko yung technique sa 1.6 CVT, pitik pitik lng sa gas kesa isang malakas na hatak. para hindi na maingay.

Just look at the tachometer. It should be hovering at around 750 to 800 RPM. Pag zero then patay yung makina.

One twist start ako palagi. Baka naman pinipitik mo lang ang susi? Ano ba practice mo oag start? Paki explain baka may mali sa ginagawa mo?

nice guide sir. Oo nga tama din to hehehe! Ako kasi nakasanayan lang talaga na naririnig ang makina. Ngayon lang din ako nakapagdrive ng clutch first before you start na manual. Is this safety features lang ng Altis? o lahat ng manual ngayon ganito na?

Not sure nga kung may alarm tong altis..hehe tried pulling the door handle hard when locked pero no alarm pa rin.. I wonder if we can also make the horn sound as a lock and unlock sound..

Horn will be triggered only when the doors are manually opened when anti theft alarm has been activated (locking the door with the remote). There is no sound when locking or unlocking either.

Mga sir natry nyo na ba from off engine. Ilalagay nyo sa "on" yung after "acc", tapos may mga orange na logo mawawala after few seconds. Yung sakin may matitirang isang orange sa top left....... Pero pg todo start ko yung engine mawawala lahat ng orange logo

Check your manual kung ano yung naiiwan na ilaw. From what I noticed, it's the power steering warning light that turns off last (makes sense because PS doesn't work unless engine is running).

As long as there are no warning lights when the engine is running, there's nothing to worry about.

The numbers = displacement

1.8 = 1.8L Engine
1.6 = 1.6L Engine

The letters = trims

J is the lowest trim, followed by E, G, V (and Q on some Toyotas)

Example for the 2000-2007 Altis (not totally accurate)
J - no airbags, no anti lock brakes
E - w/ Driver's Airbag, w/ anti lock brakes
G - w/ 2 airbags in front, w/ anti lock brakes, w/ Leather seats

Something like that.
