With all due respect, i dont think mas magaan ang weight nito otherwise di ito magiging stable sa high speed.
Better yet consider the 1.6L variant if you want a better FC and but not the 2.0L :-)

LOL. Weight has nothing to do with stability in high speeds. If it did, that's like saying the likes of Lotus cars aren't stable.
Fuel consumption doesn't just factor engine displacement although it is a major factor. For example, the 1.6L 2006 Mazda3 has the same general FC as the 2.0L variant. In fact, many criticized it to be more of a fuel guzzler than its 2.0L brother
Just talk with a manager of toyota sales earlier, we will be having the euro version altis official launching will be on Jan. 15, 2013. 7 speed CVT for the automatic and 6 speed for the manual.

This is good news! Will definitely check this one when they release it! Am looking at the Altis and the new Mazda 3 for a possible second car. Anyone here knows how much this will cost for the 2.0L, if they will release this variant? Thanks for the info, sir Retz!

Based on the front wheel well to bonnet height the white unit looks like an Avanza CMIIW.
Accdg to this site Aisin is Toyota's CVT supplier: Toyota teams up with Aisin AW for volume production while Nissan, Mitsubishi Motors and Fuji Heavy I - MarkLines Automotive Industry Portal
They are pushbelt type: Toyota K CVT transmission - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

IIRC the gen 2 City had pull-type rubber belts and the initial batch had incorrect transmissions fluids.
