Ah, ok ah 5 percent discount. Sa kanila ka po ba bumili ng car? Or pwede ito sa mga dayuhan? May isang bote din na binigay sa akin baka yung sobra na ilalagay.

Medyo madumi na ung stock seat cover ko. Any ideas for a nice cloth cover? Light colored kasi ung seats I worry baka dumumi masyado kung alisin ko cover permanently. I also don't want the synthetic leather cover mainit kapag summer.

Grabe wawa naman yang altis mo. Buti at di ka naman masyado nasaktan. Yung 1st year participation ko sa bpi partner insurer is almost 5k for 1st year.

Malalim ba? From what I can see sa picture mukhang malalim. Kung superficial lang yung gasgas (namumuti kahit di malalim) scratch remover lang ay tanggal. Kung nakayod lang yung clearcoat may DIY kit (Turtlewax) worth around 1000. Kung malalim, repaint ang probable na remedyo.

Got 17 km/L today based on full tank method (16.903 to be exact, while MID showed 16.8 km/L). Mostly highway driving from Manila-Subic-Bataan-Manila, with a bit of city driving in Subic and Balanga.

No hypermiling or anything, just generally tame driving (80 kph on OG road, 90-100 on NLEX).

Pretty happy with the car's mileage, both city and highway. Noticeably better than the Vios 1.3 AT, even if it has much more power and even with the larger 18" wheels.

Goodluck sa paghihintay mo ng plate. With your car already registered, you can now travel without restriction. Kasalanan ng lto kung bakit walang plate. Yung replacement plate ko for my innova with ending no 1, sa August na raw ako magfollow-up. Sinungaling talaga yung Abaya.

The cloth seats of the Altis are actually easy to clean. They're closer to canvas than cloth actually, so minor stains are easy to remove with some water and a toothbrush.

Only got 18.8 km/L with my highway run today (19.2 on the MID, I was gunning for 20 km/L, but I think you really can't achieve it unless purely NLEX/SCTEX driving.

Even if I tried to stick to 70-80 kph as much as I could, the fact that I had to use OG road and pass through some crowded towns and the awful traffic in Dinalupihan really bogged down my FC.

One thing I noticed though with the instantaneous FC reading, even if you give the same pedal input and same speed, sometimes it reads 18 km/L, sometimes 22, sometimes 20. I'm thinking that the direction of the wind and the smoothness of the road also play a factor, aside from the gradient of the road. It was raining really hard earlier and I thought that would reduce the friction on the highway and give me better FC, but I guess not. Oh well, will try again next time with purely highway driving and hopefully better weather.

Yeah gradients are hard to notice. 1 degree and the engine rpm increase 50rpm but fuel injectors push more fuel. I did eco run today too 5.1L/100 downhill way. After returning 6.2L/100 going back was uphill. Ang layo sa 1.6 hehehe.

Is your Elantra a 1.8? (EDIT: 2.0 pala, I assume you're based overseas?)

I understand what you mean when the engine gets stressed with a simple uphill, increasing FC by a huge amount. You can downshift to increase torque and reduce the strain on the engine, but the higher revs will eat up your FC too, so it's a balancing act of what gear and how much pedal input to maximize the FC on an uphill. But at the end of the day, you'll still get better FC on a flat road (NLEX, SCTEX Tarlac-bound, SLEX and TPLEX) than on a road with alternating uphills and downhills (SCTEX Subic-bound).

Oo sir nagbacktrack ako sa thread nakita ko din ung post nya about that upholstery shop in Silang, Cavite. Pinuntahan ko kahapon and nakausap ung may-ari. Naka-Altis 2014 V variant pala sya kaya alam na nya sukat ng leather seat cover natin. German/Nytek leather yung gamit nila. May isa pa nakalimutan ko hehe. Next week Friday ko pa makukuha ung cover. Got the deal for 5.5k.

It's actually synthetic leather or leatherette. Ano kulay? Can you please post some pics once done? May close up ng stitching ha para makilatis. Thanks.
