Kung malalim ang clutch, baka di masyado na madis-engage ang clutch. Puwede naman siguro iyan na mapa-adjust free of charge.

Pag pudpud na ang clutch, lumalalim ito.

Hello. I think I have the same experience when I got my J. But after driving it for 3 months now, parang nawala. I think that's the feeling when the clutch is new. Make sure you do not release it immediately. If it bothers you ask for adjustment on your first 1km check-up. Btw, I also had difficulties shifting to reverse. But after 2k mileage, it eased up.

May fix na ba ang pagiging erratic ng takbo at low speed low gear dahil sa on/off ng A/C compressor? Usually kapag trapik, hirap tuloy totally engage ang clucht at first gear. Avanza J po ang sa akin, sa G po ba hindi ganun?

dun sa mga may leatherette seat covers, what did you do to the free seat covers provided ng casa?

what i did was to give the seat covers [plus the floor mats] to one of our forum member [who, btw, has not posted anything yet] who ordered a silver-j. in return, he instead have two sets of mud guards as freebies [with some additional cash]. we split the payment [about 400 each] and have our mudguards installed at toyota alabang.

Dati may "galoping" problem ako. Now OK na, halos di na nagyayari sa akin (or sa wife ko). BTW, J rin ang unit ko.

I have a 1.3 J Avanza. It hs enough power to carry people and stuff. The VVTI DOHC engine generates more power and torque than a typical 1.3 carburated engine.

For me, the ride is stable enough especially if loaded. I have no problems making high speed turns.

It is underpowered if you want speeds more than 150Kph IMHO.

The 1.5 Vios is a nice car, it is more economical that the Avanza G I think. But you can fit more people and stuff in the Avanza. One advantage of the Avanza is that you seat higher than cars so you see more of the road ahead and it has a lot more clearance than cars.

The ride of the Vios is smoother than the Avanza. But the ride of the Avanza is not as harsh as AUVs. The Avanza does not use leaf springs. It also has independent suspension. Now the Avanza G has ABS and 2 airbags.

I agree with meledson. The first week I drover my J, that was my complaint. Now, after driving for 2k kms, I don't notice it at all. Either I got used to proper shifting and clutch release or the clutch smoothened (or both). I complained that to TYT, they told me "observe". Now, with the first gear problem, hmmm... The common complaint is reverse gear. To that, TYT also said "observe".

Yes, it is definitely underpowered if you want to overtake at low speed. I came from a V6 so that was my frustration. But I became a safer driver with a 1.3 J. haha

Ito na yung picture. Maliit lang ang damage, pero alam mong hindi na sya perfect. Ingat din kayo. Check nyo kung nakausli at baka may sumabit din. Adjust nyo lang ang screw ng taillight.

Tanong ko din pala sa mga fellow Avanzers:

May observation din ako na medyo bumpy nga ang Avanza. I don't know pero siguro dahil usually ako lang ang sakay nito. Para akong nagsasayaw ng pakaliwat-kanan tuwing madadaan ako sa mga humps. E sa village pa naman namin tadtad ng humps ang kalsada, feeling ko tuloy pagod na pagod ako after driving (not to mention na matic ang Avanza ko).

Lagyan ko kaya ng isang sakong bigas sa likod? What do you think? O padagdagan ko ng rubber suspension(yun ba tawag dun sa bilog na rubber na nilalagay sa ilalim ng suspension?).

hello all, got my 1.5G avanza m/t champagne yesterday. ques. lng, pansin ko kc parang malalim ung clutch nya, anu mga advantages at disadvantages ni2? sensya na it's my first time to have my own car. thanks.

yung sa akin naman nung makuha ko mataas na ang release ko ng clutch tsaka pa lang aarangkada...nung nagpa 1k chk up ako..sinabi ko dun sa service advisor...di daw nila ito i aadjust na konting angat lang ng clutch eh kakagat na dahil makapal pa daw ang lining at baka mapudpod agad.

Malamang sa 10,000 Km PM, mineral oil lang ang ipapalagay ko.

oks lang naman ang mineral oil as long na every 5k, change oil ka na.

Fellow Avanzers, yung J variant ang rear view mirror natin eh ordinary lang, wala syang day and night. Yung G variant ba ano gamit? May nagupgrade na ba ng sa rear view mirror sa J variant?

I had mine replaced by Broadway rear view mirror. Medyo pricey siya compared to other aftermarket rearview mirror like auto sport, type r, etc.

Just got my avanza a 10,000km check-up last wednesday and its P6,050.00!

Ang mahal pala. Di na kasi free yung labor tapos pinalitan pa yung mga spark plugs and ang daming nakalagay na check-up parts & adjustments.

Got also an Egine Detailing. its around 700bucks pero worth it naman. NAg-mukhang BNEW uli yung engine! ;)

Huwaattt P6,050? ang mahal naman sir! can you share yung breakdown nung P6,050. I am close to have my 10kms checkup as well pero kung ganito lang kataas babayaran ko i rather have my 10kms checkup elsewhere.

May tanong lang po ko. san po ba maganda magpaayos ng paint ng avanza red, may naatrasan kasi akong tricycle at tumama un part malapit sa tambutso. Malalim un pagkatama.

Last april lang namin acquired un avanza. pag sa casa ba mas mahal or sa labas? almost 3 inches un tama..

I would suggest pa repaint mo na lang sa labas yung bumper. Definitely mas mahal sa case. I had my entire rear bumper repainted for P2,500. Pag touch up lang baka di pumantay so buong bumper na.
