wala bang test drive sa Avanza sa mga dealers??

don sa mga nakabagong Avanza.. nag pa pa bless ba kayo sa church?? sa manoag ba yun?

Sama ka sa Avanza EB baka swertehin ka meron magpapa test drive ng avanza nila..hehehe.

When I decided to buy the Avanza, hindi ko man lang nakita actual yung unit since nandito naman ako sa labas. Puro brochures lang at yung commercial sa Youtube. Basa-basa din ako ng mga reviews sa ibang forum (outside philippines) since dadalawa pa lang yata ang nagkameron dito sa tsikot noon. When I saw Judell's set-up ayun, I told my wife na kunin na. Pero kung nakita ko lang siguro sa actual baka nag Innova G na ako. But I did not regret getting the Avanza since cute naman sya. Though wife ko naman ang gumagamit.

OT din: Sadiq, sa pasko pa uwi ko. 25 Dec alis ko dito. Wala na akong makuhang flight ang admin namin puno na raw buong december. 2 weeks lang ako dyan sa atin balik din agad ako 10 Jan. Sana meron EB habang nandyan ako. Kaya lang baka busy mga avanzer at holiday season kasi. Akyat kami ng family ko sa baguio at masubukan ang lakas ng Avanza. Sino mga taga baguio dyan, kita kits na lang tayo.

Medyo lungkot nga, last year ganun din. Dec 24 naman ako umalis, nasa ere ako nag noche buena. Last noche buena ko sa atin ay 2001 pa. anyway, tiis-tiis na lang.

Halos ganun din FC ko nung nagpunta kami ng subic last time.

Exactly the same situation here. Pero it was really planned to own an avanza since my wife was the one who saw it first.

Had my 5k PMS at Pasong Tamo. 1.1K pesos. Using the 1k PMS checklist, I stressed some check ups. Suspension, Bolt tightening, Brakes etc.........

For those who got their unit without comprehensive insurance but TPL only and paid 1,800 pesos, please find time to check the insurance coverage. Dapat 3 years. For me 1 year lang nakaindicate. Pagkakamali daw ng dealer (Not Pasong Tamo). Ipaparectify pa.

After reading some posts and comparing all toyota branches and other insurance offers, I finally got my compre insurance from Toyota Pasong Tamo (Not my dealer). 20K pesos and 3K participating fee for my 1.5G variant, I was told na mas mabilis ang arrangement to include repair and services pag sa dealership ang compre....

What I learned from comprehensive insurance:
1. Higher participating Fee, Lower premium (I prefered, the other way around)
2. Usually participating fee is 1% of the unit price. Some offer lower as promo.
3. May freebies din katulad ng umbrella. Pang GOLF!
4. Payable ang premium for 6 months equal installments (This is what I like from TPT. The closest is 4 months but higher 1st month payment)
5. Compre coverage is good when your damage amounts to more than the participating fee, I was told.
6. Why I finally got my compre insurance? I saw an avanza (blue) in tarlac, Avanza (blue and white) in Baguio na may mga damages. SInce it's my first new car, Insurance coverage is a must. Accident happens. Safety is paramount. Reminder lang po.........

Final fuel count:

total odometer reading= 4750kms (short/long distances+uphill/downhill drive)
total gas up= 378 Liters
FC=12.5
Top speed=140+ kph (NLEX) RPM=3900
Average cruising=100-120KPH
Recommended ideal speed for a better FC (13+-15+kpL)= 80-90KPH
Somebody posted here that for every 1000RPM, average 30kph ang dagdag sa speed. I think he is right (Thanks sa observation, bro). For my unit, Lower ng konti ang RPM.

I happen to follow a silver 1.3J along pangasinan-tarlac on my way to manila. I was cruising 100kph. Mas mabilis siya........I didnt attempt to close in......

Somebody posted here that for every 1000RPM, average 30kph ang dagdag sa speed. I think he is right (Thanks sa observation, bro). For my unit, Lower ng konti ang RPM.

Mababa nga ang RPM mo sa 140kph, hindi ko pa naabot yung speed na yun pero I think mas mataas ang aabutin ko na RPM sa 140kph. dahil kaya sa 1.5G ang engine mo?

Fastest ko is 120 KPH pero saglit lang, ang RPM ay almost 4,000. Loaded pa with stuff and passengers. Sa NLEX ko nagawa.

3,000 RPM = 80Kph
3,7XX RPM = 100 Kph

Thanks for the info. I think beyond 120 kph, an Avanza will start galloping especially if it isn't loaded. haha

Btw, would you know the right tire pressure for the J wheels?

Grade 6 ang pangalawa ko sa Canossa. Sorry nakalimutan ko na kung anong section. Iyong panganay ko, sa Conossa nag tapos ng elementrya, kaso now 1st year hi sa Phil. Sci. Tech.

Pagpasok ko sa compound ng canossa, pinababa ko na ang family ko para sila na lang ang kumuha ng card, hahanap pa ako ng parking, sabi ko sa kanila. Sa car ko na sila hihintayin. Siguro mga 10 mins lang ako sa basketball court na naka park.

Next time, baka magkita tayo sa canossa.

Does anybody know if our Avanza can take Shell E fuel? Is it true that all gas sold are unleaded?

To answer your first question, YES, the Avanza can take Shell E10 fuel. The E10 is formulated fo fuel-injected engine like the Avanza. I used that whenever I travel to Pampanga. From experience, it gives a little more power than standard unleaded fuel. Since it's only available in Metro Manila at the moment, and I'm from Cavite, I usually get it when I passed through Pandacan.

As for your second question, Yes, It's true that all gasoline are now unleaded. However, the Shell Super Premium is formulated to cater for older cars, those that has carburetor instead of EFI. In some provinces, however, there are still dealers of the old "regular" gasoline. Hope this helps.

noong nailabas ni mrs yung avanza namin the first thing na ginawa nya is have the car blessed since dito lang kami sa Pangasinan. Madami din nagpapabless dun na taga malalayo like manila and other far places. Pero if you dont have the time, you can have it blessed in any church.

that's what i did too first thing in the morning when we acquired our baby. what important is it was blessed regardless of church's location. the same holy water din naman ang ginagamit. me experienced pa nga ako sa parish priest namin when he asked me to put on all the lights including the fog lights. di ko alam asan switch ,si father pang nagturo.he3!kaya nakilala nya na ako.pano ba naman di nya ko matatandaan !st avanza yon na blessed ni. Father.

The tire pressure is posted near the driver's seat. I think it's 31 for the front and 35 for the rear. When I asked TAI SA about this once, he said it's ok to use 30 / 30. I normally used those numbers for cold tire pressure, except when I have to change the rear to 32 when the Avanza is fully loaded. masyadong ng maalog yung 35.

If tama ang computation ko, 30 PSI sa harap, 35 PSI sa likod.

Pero ang gamit ko ay 35 PSI in all wheels.
