February 17th, 2009 03:04 PM #12051The drag factor is agreeable due to avanza's height.
And, matipid nga yata lalo ang front wheel drive (FWD) kesa RWD. Not mainly because of electric power distribution or weight of vehicle.
Consider this. It seems that more power is exerted in pushing than in pulling. Like in moving a cart or a thing to a far distance. One would rather pull it rather than push to move it.
Corelating then. FWD seems to have the pull system since power is infront. RWD seems to have the push system since power comes from the rear.
If the above is not the true, then can we dream that avanza can do a 22km/li like a vios does? If true, might as well be contented with the 13 to 15km/li fc or so.
Sharing thoughts lang po.

February 18th, 2009 04:10 PM #12052It pays to backread if you have an avanza. Dami matutunan.
Eto iyong answer sa one query ko. Malaking tulong itong rear step bar lalo na pagmeron ikakarga sa likod or if gusto mo ng fx type seating arragement sa third row. And protection din siguro sa kaskaserong tricycle drivers.
Maasahan kaya ito? Ano problems na pwede maencounter pag meron ganito avanza?
Salamat po.

Maaasahan? Definitely!
Burjegol already said so ("which helped a lot ng ma-rear end siya ng motorsiklo").
Problems? Only when cleaning the portions "covered" by the installed bullbar. Siyempre it will be harder to reach those areas.

I'd sacrifice a little FC for peace of mind regarding the safety of my 3rd row passengers.
