4A-GE motor nalang sir.
AFAIK, walang corolla na lumabas dito with the 1.8 liter 7A-FE...

ay talaga sir scharnhorst marami po ba makukuhanan ng ganyang makina dito ?
Inquire ka kay Atong sa Ichi-Ban sa banawe
My sister's corolla (93' rin. bigbody) had its engine swapped there
180 kph kayang kaya!![]()
Who said the 4age-20v silver top isn't powerful?
I know a few TACP club members who have a 4AGE-20V silver top under their hood. The 4age-20v black-top is definitely more powerful but it costs a lot more to buy and install. It is also more rare so any engine specific part(s) that gets broken will be more difficult to replace as well. The silver top isn't as powerful as the black top but it is more powerful than the 4afe and the 4age-16v engines while giving decent fuel consumption figures.
The 4AGZE (supercharged) isn't a good choice because it is rather limited in potential output. From what I remember, it's performance is somewhere between the 4AGE-16v and 4AGE-20v engines.

sure ka paps na hindi maganda 4AGZE?.. hmmm.. hindi un totoo.. mahina ung 4AGZE kung stock, pero kung ifu-full race mo yung engine na un, mas maganda kasi matibay ung block nya.. maniniwala ka, stock internals nun change the supercharger to a turbocharger, then fine tuning kaya niyang mag 18psi on stock internals.. pinaka magandang engine un na 1.6L for boosting.. not NA applications.. tanungin mo mga TACP sa gas consumption ng 4AGE silvertop, ang lakas sa gas at kapos pa sa hatak, kaya ng 4AFE ang silvertop 4AGE, stock sa stock.. ok din naman ung silvertop eh, pero kung may money ka to change your engine, ipon ka pa konti para umabot sa blacktop.. tska range ng silvertop 25k to 28K, hindi pa kasama kabit.. blacktop with no tranny, 32k to 35k.. mahal kasi tranny ng blacktop dahil sa LSD.. ung blacktop hindi yun mahirap ikabit kasi swak yun sa bigbody corolla.. at ung parts nun, hindi mahirap kasi parehas lang sila ng parts ng silvertop.. and ang difference lang ng silvertop sa blacktop ay ung head, piston design at comp box kasi yung silvertop, vvt-i lang, ung blacktop, vvt-iL.. same din sila ng intake na naka ITB's.. compare mo gas comsumption ng BT sa ST with your friend's ST.. ang blacktop gas consumption nasa 8-10Km/L peace![]()
maganda din ang 7AFE engine...
salpakan mo lang ng 4AGE head ang 7AFE block.. eh di may 7AGE ka na
aite, peace.
From the people who have silvertop 4age-20v... gas consumption is about par with your claimed 8-10km/L. The silver top is pretty quick and stocks more plentiful as well. I don't know about how you can even compare the performance of the 4AGE-20v silver top with the 4AFE unless you are talking about the 4AFE-turbo variant.
4AFE = 110hp (local version) / 101 ft·lbf (137 N·m) * 4800 rpm
7AFE = 120hp*6000 rpm / 157 N·m * 4400 rpm
4AGE-16v = 130hp to 138hp (depending on variation) / 110 ft·lbf (149 N·m) at 4800 rpm
4AGZE-supercharge = 145hp/140 ft·lbf (190 N·m) to 165hp/155 ft·lbf (210 N·m) (depending on variation)
4AGE-20v silvertop = 158hp*7400rpm / 162 N·m*5200rpm
4AGE-20v blacktop = 162hp*7800rpm / 162 N·m*5200rpm
Personally I would rather make my power from an all-motor engine setup if possible. This would avoid all the complexity of having a forced induction system.
And even if you can upgrade a 4AGZE's supercharger to a turbocharger for more power, just looking at the cost of adding a properly designed turbo system (and the added maintenance required for a hotter engine) would make the system prohibitive for most people who have a limited budget. It is not just a matter of if you can build it, it is also a matter of if it makes economic sense to do it.
Just comparing it to my experience with my project sentra vs my friend Niky's Lynx RS. Niky's Lynx RS with its tuned 2.0L engine can reach over 225kph top speed while my Sentra's tuned SR20 tops out at 219kph. Horsepower, Niky has around 10HPs more as well based on our dyno runs. But my advantage is my engine can run all day at max performance which Niky's car can only maintain peak output for a minute or so. Longer than that, it will suffer internal damage. My setup requires only the basic maintenance done to maintain it (regular tune ups, change oil and plugs).

True but you cannot have the same redline at a true 4AGE engine. The 7AGE hybrid engine will be limited to a lower RPM limit due to the block's design. And given you will be buying two engines to make a 7AGE hybrid, it would be better simply to get a 4AGE-20v and get more HP with a higher RPM redline.
kaya ako nag sa-suggest ng 4AGZE tapos change yung supercharger to a turbocharger kasi yung conversion nun from supercharger to turbocharger ay hindi ganun kamahal compare sa mag turbo ka ng NA engine. hindi din kailangan ng SPECIALLY SPEC TURBO para sa 4AGZE, any turbo will do. kung maselan kang tao, maghahanap ka talaga ng BRANDED na turbo for the said application. at ung 4AFE na kayang tumalo ng 4AGE silvertop 20v, stock sa stock yun. kaya talaga ng 4AFE N/A yun. huwag kasing mag base sa engine catalog para sa mga difference ng HP at TQ ng engine. nag bibigay lang ako ng option sa gumawa ng thread na 'to. pero hindi pa din ako bilib sa silvertop. kasi yung kamalian ng toyota sa silvertop, inayos kaya nabuo yung blacktop. silvertop na 20v, kayang kaya ng any sohc 1.6L N/A. hindi kasi maganda pagkaka design ng head niya.![]()
Show me a car with a stock 4AFE that beats a stock 4AGE-20v silvertop... LOL!
Do note I am not just basing it on HP figures, I am also considering torque as well.
As for modifying a 4AGZE with a turbo, choosing a proper sized turbo is important to minimize turbo lag and under-sized turbo problems. Setting up a turbo upgrade isn't just throwing in any mix of parts and expecting it to work. If that is how you look at it, I foresee an expensive and lengthy tuning process just to get the engine running smoothly.
Just a helpful tip... before you start posting more outrageous claims, i suggest you start posting some links where it supports your claims like that a 4AFE motor can beat a 4AGE-20v motor and so on. Its like saying a Honda D16 motor can beat a B16 motor or a nissan GA16DE and beat a SR16VE motor on the same car. It is because you said it, doesn't mean its true.
