The ZR Altis (122 hp, CVT) is roughly just as efficient as the previous ZZ Altis (109 hp, 4AT). The difference is that the ZR engine feels much more athletic.

In any case, the engine and transmission update should silence any Vios haters who claim it's under-spec'd. The use of CVT on Toyota's most popular model probably means they have that much faith on its reliability.

Bro the non hybrid sienta in malaysia with the same 1.5L(2nr-fe)(not super sure yet) and cvt is rated 20.6km/l in the jc08 cycle. With the lighter vios... maybe it will be as i mentioned. Ahem lol

JC08 still isn't comparable to Manila traffic. I doubt the new Vios will exceed 10 km/L in EDSA bumper to bumper traffic. I used to get 7-8 km/l in moderate to heavy traffic with my 1.3 4AT Vios.

Anyway, let's wait and see. 😊

The jc08 is a good baseline. Example coralla 1.6cvt its around 15-16 if i remember correctly. The sienta is 20.6 mirage is 22ish

The DENR will soon publish fc of cars... driven sa highway.. lol of course the mirage and mux will dominate but what about city consumption diba. Even the altis cvt and mazdas would get 15km/l +

    I just like numbers

Too bad VSC only on the 2.0 but Wow seven airbags across the range. Even the 2.4 V Fortuner doesn't have this. Hoping for all new releases 2017 onwards to prioritize safety features to lessen risk of road casualties.

    We already have 3 Altis in-stock. 2.0V, 1.6V, and 1.6G.
