swap engine, 4af to 4age

sirs! Good day po. Tatanong lang po sana ako kung saan nakakabili ng 4age silvertop engine? Plan ko kasing magpalit sa ae92 ko. Saan po at magkano ang bentahan ng 4age engine ngayon? Thanks po!

Wow, 40T na rin ah.

Things to look at when you're engine shopping:
- wiring harnesses (properly cut and taped and/or with it's proper clips)
- axles
- transmission
- ECU
- engine mounting condition
- bolts (complete and not deformed)
- sensors

You'll also need to rewire for a different fuel pump as you car is coming from a carb and will become EFI. Be prepared to do some part changes as well (bearings, gaskets, water pump, compression test, etc) since it can be done easily before the engine is mounted on.

Best to find a shop who'll do the swap first then you look for the engine and it's assorted parts. Don't go with the cheapest deal but look for a shop that is recommended with good feedback. Normally you'd end up spending more if you go for a cheap swap.

sa 40t po ba na yon excellent condition pa yung makina? Tiyaka saan po ako pwede maghanap ng silvertop? At kumpleto pa po ba makina non? Ecu, tranny, etc? Thanks po, pasensiya na po madaming tanong..

ah ok po, may nabasa ako na yung tranny ng 4af ay pwedeng isalpak sa 4age.. Sana nga ppwede siya para bawas gastos.. Salamat sa reply sir, sana makahanap ako ng naka condition na makina.. Sa mga may alam kung san ako mkakakuha ng 4age, paki lagay nlang po dito.. Salamat sa makakapagbigay.. C:
