A close friend of mine is selling his 2005 model Toyota Fortuner 2.5 D matic with 117,000 odo reading for 750t. Is it a good buy? Is the price fair? advise please......

May 14th, 2011 04:54 PM #4Sa ganyang odo reading dapat siguro nasa 60% na ng purchase value ng vehicle. Tapos na warranty eh and 5 years na kasi. Mataas lang talaga bentahan ng used cars dito sa PI unlike in other countries na mas mababa. Ex. na lang sa US eh, after 5 years, less than 45% na yan.

Before I forget, tumawag yung friend ko na may 2nd hand Alterra MT for sale daw 2006 model with 70t+ odo reading for 745T. Is the price fair? May I have your opinions please?

May 14th, 2011 09:54 PM #7dude, check maigi casa records. hopefully, napalitan na mga fuel filter/SCV , brake pedal bushing. Eto yung mga most common defective parts na nababasa ko sa forums. Meron din about tensioner. Not sure.

If ok pa SCV niyan, puwede naman linis lang eh. Sabihin mo na lang na potential problem yan kaya sana babaan at papalitan mo na agad nung bago.

May 17th, 2011 09:46 AM #12hindi na sya good to buy. mataas na masyado ODO reading at wala ng warranty yan. common pa sa D4D issues ang 2005 model. innova G na lang bilin mo na brand new tol. parang sa fortuner din naman interior nun tapos same lang 2.5 D4D. naka brand new ka pa. :D

maganda ang engine ng isuzu compare sa d4d
alterra and fortuner good for flooded area...

kung after 5 years mong gagamitin yan, may mga bago na naman so luma na modelo yung sa iyo agad.

May 18th, 2011 03:38 PM #16kung walang fuel pump/SCV issue and kaya mong ibaba sa 6hundreds, sa Fortuner pa din ako. Less appealing ang alterra sakin.
