    here are 2 scenarios:

    1. after driving for lets say medyo ang takbo ay 60-80km/h ang speed, usually I turn the engine off right away then after ko bumaba ng auto may maririnig akong sound na "tik" "tik" "tik" sa ilalim ng auto, normal lang ba ito? may nagsabi sa akin na yan yung parang nag co-cool off ang something after driving the car a bit hard. any comments?

    2. kunwari after driving the car na medyo 60-80km/h then sa gas station nag off nako ng engine for a fulltank, pag ni-ON ko yung key ignition at ista-start ko pa lang, nag iinitiate yung parang blower ng car. Is this a situation na parang kino-cool down nya yung engine? what i do inaantay ko mag off yung fan ng mga after 10 seconds before ko ni-ststart ang engine.normal lang din ba ito?

this ticking noise is normal for engines with tuned exhaust systems where the manufacturers use steel pipes or stainless steel pipes. these noises were not noticed when the engines used cast iron exhaust manifolds. the heat shields or shrouds around the exhaust manifolds make the same exact noises. it happens right after engine shutdown when the manifold cools off, the radiator fan programmed to cool the radiator down right after shut down accelerates the cool down process of the manifold making the noise more noticeable. this is nothing to worry about unless there are exhaust leaks or engine overheating.
