Tama si kim. All are based on the IMV platform and not on each other.

As with the Innova, the Fortuner's rear seat are also kiddie size.

Mura na yan compared sa Montero Sport...
Consider the following advantages of Fortuner over the Montero Sport:
    - Cheaper by over P20T.
    - 3.0L CommonRail Diesel Engine (Montero has 2.8L conventional).
    - 7 seater (Montero is 5-seater).
    - Larger body size.
    - New design and technology.

The 2.5 Liter D4D 4x2 Fortuner won't be sold because of lack of power especially in up hill climbs; but for city driving its OK. Besides, the D4D Innova automatic may even be faster than this one, due to its lighter curb weight.

By the way, this 2.5 liter Fortuner model has no turbo-intercooler and no hood scoop which could explain the so-so performance. I saw and rode the 4 Fortuner models (3.0 D4D, 2 x 2.7 VVti, 2.5 D4D) at Toyota Otis last Saturday from 3-4 pm since they were supposed to move around the different dealerships.
